My favorite Christmas memory I think will be this year! I prayed for years for a baby! I am currently 25 weeks and looking so forward to celebrating with my family. I'm 38 so it's been quite the wait and I get to make my parents grandparents! I think we all had accepted that it just wasn't meant to be. Our prayers were answered! ❤🙏🏻❤

I was 9 years old when my Dad drowned in Lake Ontario 9 weeks before Christmas. Our mom was only 30 years old and grieving while struggling to keep the farm animals and her 3 daughters fed. On Christmas Eve, while we were supposed to be sleeping, a family friend delivered the desks that my sister and l had asked for 10 weeks earlier, but knew now that our mom could not afford them. We were so excited to find them waiting for us in the morning!!! Then we opened the desk drawers. Our parent’s friends had filled the drawers with gifts for our mom!!! 51 years later, I still cry at the memory of that painful, special Christmas morning. A lesson of kindness and giving that has impacted my whole life. And the desks….my sister and I still have them. They were purchased by those friends who also filled the drawers with gifts. The hardest and most beautiful Christmas of my life.

Growing up we always got something small for Christmas. When I was around 8 my parents had no money for gifts. I didn’t realize that as a kid, was too busy playing outside. That year my mom got us all 4 kids a grocery bag (white) divided a big Dorito bag into each grocery bag. She added a few candies and a banana in each bag and my most favorite a quarter. In 1992 we could still buy candy with a quarter. 🤭 I can close my eyes and feel the excitement I felt as a child looking in that bag. As an adult I can only imagine what my mother felt not having for more but she did the best she could with what she had. That is so special to me now. It’s my favorite Christmas memory. It brings tears to my eyes every time I think of it. ❤

One year I couldn't afford to give anyone but made homemade fudge to my brother and his family and my parents. It was a bad time in my life and cried that night. But know it's not about what we give about togetherness and Christ birthday. 😊
@albacaldwell956Ай бұрын
@ That is such a thoughtful gift. Specially because you made the fudge. 💝 I think we can stress ourselves out, thinking we have to spend a lot, but it really is about the thoughtfulness and love behind the gift no matter how big or small. Totally agree with you. Being with those we love and celebrating Jesus is what matters most. 💗

I’m 69 and my favorite memory is wrapping ornate packages in front of the fireplace with my Daddy. But even more special was seeing Mamma rocking in her rocking chair, nine months pregnant with a cup of tea on her pregnant belly. My little brother was born that Christmas Eve. I was seven and he is the best present I have ever received!🙏🎄

I grew up Muslim and came to Christ in 2018. So I didn’t not have any memories of Christmas in til recently. The man and women who shared Jesus with me have a Christmas party for out whole small church every year and we all bake and cook and then after dinner we open gifts together and play Pictionary! It brings me so much joy to be all together laughing and enjoying each other! We end the night by singing hymns. It’s been so beautiful to be able to share this memory for the past couple of years with them 💕

My favorite Christmas memory was when our older neighbors called on Christmas morning and asked if they could come over and watch our young children open their gifts. Of course I said yes, and it was so wonderful. They had never had children, but they so enjoyed watching ours grow up. I am so glad they called that morning. They brought a few homemade ornaments for our children , and every year they added to the collection. I will be 80 this month and I'm so happy you asked about a favorite Christmas memory so I could share this one. I love your channel and never miss a show. My favorite Christmas memory was coming home from our honeymoon on Christmas Eve, eight years ago, to begin new traditions as a brand new wife. Waking up to my new husband on Christmas morning that year was such a gift. My favorite Christmas memory was when I was a child. My family was very poor. We didn't know if we would get anything for Christmas that year. My dad put a pack of gum and a scarf in my mother's stocking. On Christmas Eve we heard the doorbell ring. We opened the door and we saw 2 big black garbage bags left there. My parents looked inside them and saw gifts for my siblings and I. My mother cried. We believe it was someone from our church that did it for us. I felt so loved and cared about that year.

It was Christmas 2020. That Christmas, we were struggling for the first time in our adult lives. Our marriage was put to the test of in sickness and health. I was super sick with mold that was hidden in our improperly installed HVAC system, and we were so broke from medical bills and home repairs, working with the bank for a loan. It was isolating already, because of what was going on in the world. We couldn’t afford gifts of any kind and I was too bedridden to create anything at home, but it ended up being the best Christmas ever! The best was that we didn’t have a bunch of extra stuff cluttering up our house, and we just focused on each other. We were so grateful to God for our health, although poor (a couple of kids were also reacting to the mold), I was alive. It’s funny because our kids still talk about that Christmas as the best one. We are all doing amazingly well, and since then, we have been able to add another blessing, a baby boy, to our family. Just a reminder that the hard times don't last forever, and God is always GOOD. I learned to lean into and trust Him in that season of life.

I have so many memories but the one that sticks out the most is when my three daughters and I moved back to the town I grew up in. Their father and I divorced and it was a horrible year. I barely had money to get by but bought them coloring books and crayons, a costume for one and a diary for another and a journal for another. They were 6,8 and 12. Mind you, every Christmas before they would get an abundance of gifts. Way too many for sure. I cried and cried because I couldn't give them the Christmas I always had, but when they opened their gifts, they acted like they had hit the jackpot. They were so sweet and went on and on about their gifts. That was 30 years ago exactly and these three beautiful girls have turned into the most giving, loving, godly women. A mother could never ask for more. They tell me now, that that Christmas was so much fun and they loved every bit of it. They tell me, it was never about the gifts mom, it was about celebrating the birth of Jesus and being together. They were so much more wise than I gave them credit for. ❤❤❤

A few years ago when I was single, most years I was not able to travel to be with family due to farming and finances. Well one particular year I was feeling kind of down about it but Christmas Eve came and it started to snow (which i feel doesn't happen as often anymore) which just was a sweet start to what the Lord had planned. Later that night after chores were done one of my favorite cows decided to give an early Christmas present and gave us a heifer. I named her Eve. Then the Christmas day it just felt sad being alone but during afternoon milking my sister just walks in the barn to surprise me. She said she didn't want me to be alone. I get done chores, wash up and moments after we go in the house theres a knock on the door, one of my friends shows up. He said he didn't want me to be alone. Then 15 minutes later we see headlights and in walks another friend. Who he also didn't want me to be alone. None of them knew what each other was planning but I knew it was God ordained. To date its one of the best Christmas memories I have. This year, that second friend that showed and I have been married for 3 years and get to make Christmas memories with our 1 year old and 3 month old. It's amazing how the Lord works out the details of our lives.

My best memory was getting my 93 year old dad out of the nursing home to enjoy Christmas with me and my brothers and our families. It was in 2019. He had lost my mom after 60+years of marriage and Covid hadn’t yet hit. It was our last Christmas with him outside of the skilled nursing facility. He was a strong Christian and raised all of us with those values. He lived to be 96 and blessed us all with his love. He missed my Mom but his kids were everything to him. I see that same love in your family and with your husband. Merry Christmas to you and your family. ❤

My favorite Christmas memory is from when my dad was still with us. He was a ship captain and would come home after six months, and every time, my mom’s happiness would light up our home. We do it for Mom because she deserves all the joy and good things in life.❤ Note: Thank you for all your beautiful videos and for sharing your wonderful family with all of us ❤️ Thank you for being a sunshine ✨

I’ve been blessed with so many wonderful Christmas memories, but my absolute favourite one was one year that a huge ice storm hit our area on Christmas Eve day and we lost power at our house. My parents decided to drive to our Grandparents’ and we had a huge family sleepover there on Christmas Eve. It was a year or two before I got married (followed by my siblings) and my Grandma passed away not long after, so it was almost like the gift we all needed - one last year truly enjoying celebrating Christmas all together as a family ❤️ I’ll never forget it!

My favorite Christmas memory took place when I was 11 years old! ❤ it snowed on Christmas Eve, which made Christmas morning seem even more magical. My parents, brother, and I opened our presents, had a family prayer, and then ate s’mores and hot coco for breakfast on our patio. We were all bundled up and sat by the fire on the porch while we enjoyed each others company and the Christmas snow. 🎄a memory that I’ll never forget!

My very favorite Christmas memory is when I was 5 years old…I’m 64 now. My parents had just divorced and my sister and I were really confused, she was 6. My dad stopped by on my birthday with a birthday gift for me, I was shocked! He gave me a Christmas tree necklace, 2 candy cane pins, and a birthstone ring. They sparked beautifully and Dec 18th is my birthday so in that moment all things sparkly spoke to my heart. I still have those 3 pieces and although it was a scary awful time with the divorce, my heart felt joy and I have. Always remembered that love. To all dads, give your daughters a sparkly trinket, you won’t regret it and they will treasure it always! Merry Christmas to you and yours❤️

They are one of the greatest joys of the season. I have found memories of decorating the Christmas tree while listening to Christmas music when I was little girl. Our mom always did a special cut-out sugar cookie day and where we decorated them. But the Christmas we got the Brio wooden train set was a memorable one. My parents gifted a few pieces of the brand Brio, but my dad had been making matching pieces all of December. His hobby was wood-working/carpentry. He spent hours making extra pieces, little to our knowledge. My parents stayed up extra late on Christmas Eve that year putting it together under and around the Christmas tree. We were sooooo excited that Christmas morning. That train set was hours and years of fun and so imaginitive and creative. My parents gifted it to their grandson on his 2nd Christmas. We used it well over the years. So durable since it is made of wood. All my boys used it. Now they are too old. So it is boxed up and ready for the grandkids one day. The gift that keeps on giving! Great memory!

My favorite Christmas memory as a child... opening gifts on Christmas Day! Now as we have our own family, some Christmas traditions we have created (some very recent) is picking and cutting our Christmas Tree, making new Christmas ornaments every year to add to our tree (with hopes to pass them on to the child when they have their own families), and going to/watching a live nativity. So generous of you to gift such a large amount of money to one of your followers. My favorite Christmas memory is last year 2023. I was pregnant with my 3rd son and my toddler was such a great age for the season. It was the first time we didn’t make any plans to be anywhere. We stayed home with just the 4 of us and read about the true meaning of the season, drank hot cocoa by the tree and read tons of Christmas books. I remember baking dessert and dinner from scratch and the home just had such a cozy feel. The weather was cold and snowy and it was nice just to be with the 4 of us and no expectations from anyone or from us. ❤

My favorite memory repeats each year starting off with a donation to Compassion where we’ve sponsored 5 children for 20+ years. We then pick several names off the local Giving Tree to buy gifts and donate at the local grocery stores. As the finale we host Family Christmas (before Christmas Day which enables the kids to establish their own holiday traditions) where all 6 kids come home with spouses and children. I served dinner and a few desserts before gathering around the Christmas tree to open gifts. I make sure to take pictures to create scrapbook pages for individual scrapbooks that I keep current year to year. Memories and traditions are priceless ♥️

Being an activity director for such a noble cause must bring immense joy and fulfillment, not just to me, but to all the individuals whose lives we touch. The simple act of giving blankets, food, mittens, and gloves demonstrates the profound impact of kindness and compassion. It reminds us that the spirit of Christmas is not just about the festivities but about spreading warmth and love to those who may need it the most. Our efforts help create a sense of community and belonging, showing that even the simplest acts of generosity can make a significant difference in someone's life. Good luck to everyone ❤

My favorite Christmas memory/tradition was baking with our mama and my siblings. We'd then pack baskets with baked goodies and drive around on Christmas Eve, dropping them off at family, friends, and elderly peoples homes. And since my dad played the accordion, we'd sing Christmas carols, then hug our friends, leave the basket, and go on to the next house. We'd spend a few days before Christmas baking away and practicing the carols. It was so special!! Our parents taught us that it's better to give than to receive and to be honest, I always looked forward more towards Christmas Eve than Christmas Day when we opened our presents. Now, having 7 young children, I look forward to the Christmas season when we can slow down and spend time baking and continue the tradition.

My favorite Christmas memory was the year my mom got me and my sisters American girl dolls. We played for hours and hours and year and years. She would take us to the store in Chicago to do events like a tea party. And added to them every year. It’s not like how it used to be. I asked her how she could afford to do that for us ( when I was grown. She had 10 kids) my aunt let my mom borrow her credit card to buy all that and pay her back over the course of a few months. I was so touched two sisters came together like that on Christmas to make 3 girls morning and next several years a reality. I love that doll even more. Now I have a two month old little girl and can’t wait to give it to her. I’m praying the Lord will allow me to have such precious memories with her too.

One year at Christmas my mom took us to a nursing home in town and asked the receptionist if there were any residents who didn’t have any family members. There were quite a lot, and they gave us a list of names along with things that they liked, sizes of clothes etc. so that we could buy Christmas gifts for them all. Other people in our church ended up getting involved and pitched in money for all the Christmas gifts. I’ve never forgotten going shopping with my mom and picking things out for all of them! And then taking the gifts down to the nursing home and delivering them to all of their rooms. It was something that took me out of my comfort zone as a kid, but I’ve never forgotten the lessons that it taught me and the sweet memory of doing that with my mom. It is a reminder to look beyond ourselves at Christmas and remember that there are so many people who are alone and hurting, and so many opportunities to encourage someone who is!

My favorite Christmas memory is our family Christmas eve tradition. We would light as many candles as we could find and eat a special meal and then exchange gifts. As a kid of course the gifts where the highlight, but as an adult it's the way I felt on those nights that has stayed with me.❤

My Christmas memory is always having pretty wrapped gifts and knowing all the love that went into each gift as it was being wrapped and always receiving very useful gifts! Precious time with family, and being reminded what the real reason is for the season!!!❤❤

My favorite Christmas memories are just the cozy vibes, all the good food, and the whole family being together 🤍

My favorite memories when I was young was the Christmas stockings! We were poor and didn’t have much and I remember the stockings always having the fold life saver rolls of candy and that book contained several rolls of them which was very cheap back then you could buy them for a dollar or 2/1.00. We never got candy so we looked forward to those stockings that had the candy rolls , fruit , candy cane and maybe a piece of chocolate at times. It’s funny how you remember the simple things that stand out verses the big extravagant things in life as your fondest precious memories. Your channel is amazing and I absolutely love the way you put thought into gifts and have traditions and just make the most memorable memories simple and thoughtful for each child! The true meaning of Christmas and family gatherings have changed so much through the years and has become more of an extravagant over gift giving than family, friends and simple traditions have faded away! I can see families have started turning back to making memorable traditions with their families and teaching their children the true meaning and celebration of Christmas. Your channel is contributing to bringing back the true meaning of family, church, traditions, love, creativity, beauty of all things and most of all home cooking and love for your family. I so love each and every episode you post and I’m sure your channel will keep growing as people are wanting the simple beautiful healthy family love and tradition that you have for your family! Merry Christmas to you and your precious family! ❤

Trying to choose my favorite Christmas memory brought so many memories back to my mind. Each year gets better and better as my children get married and now many grandchildren have been born. Watching my grandchildren enjoy Christmas has been my favorite memory so far.

My favorite Christmas memory goes back to when we were all little at home with my parents, baking, cooking, caroling. It was a full house, 8 children plus my parents. Great times and memories that I will cherish forever. My dad passed away this year and nothing will ever be the same😢

My favorite Christmas memory… we would always go to my grandparents house every Christmas Eve with our whole family and my brother and sisters families. Bedrooms were full of kids and the adults slept in the living and dining room on couches and blowup mattresses… it was wonderful. They have both passed on now but lived into their 90s so we have many memories with so much love and joy.❤

My favorite Christmas memory is the time and love that my single mom put into giving my sister and I gifts that were beautiful and homemade. Now, as a mom grandmother, myself, I carry on the tradition and there is always homemade gifts under my tree and of course my mom will be gifting everyone’s favorite Christmas cookies ❤

My favorite Christmas memory is just Christmas morning in general. My grandparents would come over and we'd all sit around opening gifts and just hanging out earing snacks and playing games all afternoon. It was the best ❤

My favourite Christmas memory starts Christmas Eve when my mum and dad would deck the halls and put out all sorts of fruits and treats for the holidays. My father would wind us kids up to bursting with excitement for Santa. Memories are the thing which keep us feeling alive and able to keep moving forward ❤

A favorite Christmas memory is the tradition of a Christmas Eve meal of hors d’oeuvres and sparkling grape juice and all the grandchildren have a sleepover at Grandmas house and we reconvene in the morning for a Christmas feast.. so basically lots of family time! ❤️

There are too many favorite memories and traditions me and my daughters have started, but if I had to choose just one. My favorite Christmas memory currently is Christmas morning seeing my daughters open up their stockings, I never had stockings growing up and it’s been a special thing for me to fill them up and see all the happiness it brings them ❤💚

I gave my life to Christ 15 years ago this Christmas time ❤️ Knowing the *true* meaning of the joy, peace and love I’ve always seen on holiday decor has been an untold blessing, and God has gifted me with a beautiful family to celebrate with. My most cherished tradition is baking Jesus a birthday cake with my kiddos, singing happy birthday to him, and making sure we do our devotions before opening any gifts under the tree!

My favorite memory was camping out under the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve with my sisters altogether! We’d make homemade from scratch gingerbread men and bring them to care homes and sing to the elderly. We loved it!!! ❤❤❤

My favorite Christmas memory was when my 32 year old son was Baby Jesus in our church Christmas Pageant. He was actually a couple of months old but it was so precious. It was so beautiful and I will always remember that very special Christmas. I try to keep Jesus the center of Christmas as well. We always sing happy birthday to him every Christmas. I did it with my children and now with our little grandchildren. They love our Advent wreath and learning about the 4 Sundays leading up to Christmas. It's very special but Santa is also part of our day. Enjoy this special season with your beautiful family! ❤

My favorite christmas memory would be when we used to get together in our grandparents house in Mexico. All of our cousins and family would gather on Christmas eve and my grandmother (Mamá Lidia) would always hand us a stocking with fruit and nuts. Something super simple but indeed our favorite. My grandparents are now with the Lord and we don’t all get together anymore since we all grew and now have families of our own, but its something I started doing with my own kids:’)🥹❤️✨

One of my favorite Christmas memories is from my childhood. Waking up with my older siblings and gathering together in one room while we woke up our parents to all go out to the Christmas tree together. Seeing all of the stockings hung up by the fireplace on Christmas morning was so magical.

My favorite Christmas memory is spending time with all my extended family cramped in my grandparents house on Christmas morning opening presents and hanging out! I don't think we'll all be together for many more years, but I am so thankful for the times we did have!

A Christmas memory that immediately comes to mind is when I was pretty young, I was gifted a chou chou doll that I had been dreaming of having for my own for quite some time. Opening that gift was so meaningful to me. I took such special care with her and still have her to this day to hopefully pass down to a daughter of my own someday❤️. And going to the Christmas parade every year on Christmas Day is still a fond memory!

All time favorite Christmas memory is waking up with my sister after everyone went to sleep to peak at all the gifts. My mom would place gold coins all over the gifts and we used to loveeee taking a flashlight and looking at all the sparkling coins and gifts. My mom is an artist, so she would decorate the gifts like a work of art. Still my all time favorite memories! ❤

So many favorite memories and traditions…….but when our three children were still at home, they often participated in our church’s Christmas Eve service along with my husband and I, singing with us as a family, or reciting Luke 2 together from memory (as my sisters and I had done as children). We always had two services with a break between them. My husband would order pizzas from a local pizzeria who was always open on Christmas Eve, and we would stand around the giant island in our church’s kitchen eating pizza together. My husband and I were asked to end the service most years by singing O Holy Night, with the entire congregation lighting real candles……so special!!!!! Oh to have those babies at home again as children!! They are still here as 30-somethings……and choose to spend Christmas Eve and Day at our house with their babies……for that I am so so grateful!!! Merry Christmas to your precious family!!!!

My favorite Christmas memory was actually last year! It was my son's first Christmas, and we were ALL sick with COVID and RSV.. yet; Santa came, we opened gifts all together, snuggled on the couch playing board games and ended the night with a movie. We had family come to the porch and wish us Merry Christmas. Instead of the hustle and bustle of Christmas activities and rushing from one place to the next, we were forced to slow down and stay home. We still did loads of fun activities, just at home. The joy that came from last Christmas has inspired me to start this Christmas season off just as slowly (only this year we are hoping to not contract any viruses!). Merry Christmas everyone! I know this time of year can be stressful. I just want to remind anyone resding this that our kids remember being with us more than they do whats under the tree. Bake cookies, make a gingerbread house out of paper, watch a Christmas movie... all of these things are gifts just as much as things from the store.

My favorite Christmas memory is caroling in the snow with my family. When I was in college I convinced my cousin to play his saxophone as we went from house to house singing Christmas carols. The surprise, joy and happiness we brought to others that night stays with me to this day.

My favorite Christmas memory is being able to remember all the Christmas in the past. From my childhood to all the memories I’ve made with my children and grandchildren. I have a friend who, with medical issues, will no longer have those memories. They are locked away in her mind. So I thank the Lord everyday the things I can remember. May God bless you and your family this Christmas.

My favorite Christmas memory is cookie baking day with my mom and sister when I was young. Now that I'm a mom, I've carried the tradition on with my three girls. We spend about 8 hours baking and making lots of plates for neighbors and friends. It's so much fun!

My favorite Christmas memory is always cooking a big breakfast for my family and just being able to stay home and relax! We used to travel to family parties for my husband’s side on Christmas, but we’ve changed that since moving away from everyone(military). It is extremely enjoyable to not be rushing around and letting my kids enjoy their gifts!

One of my favorite memories & traditions was when I was little every Christmas Eve we would do church, dinner, gifts and if we had enough time at the end of the night a Christmas movie. Grandma and I would snuggle up on the couch and watch Polar Express. The little things always are the most special of memories❤️
