My favourite saying re the feeling it’s “too late” to start postive habits is ‘The best time to plant a tree is ten years ago, the second best time is now’.

In the spirit on budget beauty- get up to the local college for a 6wk course of facials! Especially if they offer electrical ones; so much cheaper, you'll be helping future therapists, usually a huge selection of facials/massages to choose from👍

I love this video as I’m watching Khila. It looks like it’s filmed in sepia!

I definitely overspent on beauty this year and I love your idea of needing to “make money” for such purchases going forward or only buying if something has run out. I too have enough lipsticks for the next 20years 😂 You’re also right about doing some strength and mobility, I’m soon to turn 54 and have so many more aches and pains since turning 50 and the menopause. There’s lots of midlife insta’s to follow who specialise in this area, I like Kate Rowe-Ham Owning your menopause, I’ve been following her since lockdown and recently bought her book and of course Davina.

I wonder if davina set out to be the fave of menopause 😂 It’s certainly motivation to hear from women a little older than me that they wish they’d started sooner. Best time is now!

For me make up is my routine to take on the day. I did my make up everyday even during COVID.

I’m a very similar spender and spend for the same reasons. It’s not even having things it’s the kind of short lived rush (can’t think of another name for it) that I get afterwards. That quickly disappears and the next time I feel sad I just do it again! I started to pull it back this year a bit but unfortunately ended up with a few unexpected bills (car and dentist) so making a big effort next year to start properly saving money

I kind of had a low-buy year and I'd like to keep up in 2025. However, I think I'll need more specific goals. Maybe I'll write down by category based on my inventory. I'm still thinking about it but I'd like to have it written down in a specific, measurable way. I don't do well with abstract resolutions and goals. I'll have to look into the recycling programmes. They sound really good!

I think for me it’s going to be regular check ins to keep those goals measured and altered as needed

Sorry to be an absolute moan but I’ve been struggling with the audio. It’s quiet and ‘deep’. I watch on tv which is normally set about a 10 for tv but even at level 25 it’s still quiet. Is that something to do with my settings?

I also have had to really increase the volume Control to almost full volume Don't know if there is a issue Mikhila With your audio?

I know exactly what the problem was. Someone else complained about the visible mic in a previous video so I moved it further away.. and now it’s too quiet 😂😂

yes how things change now most homes have to be 2 incomes just to pay the bills gone are the days when one wage would cover it. but do we expect to have more now. when i was a child it was normal for 2 or 3 kids to share a bedroom you had 1 bathroom some homes still had an outside toilet. now everyone as there own room there are 2 or 3 bathrooms. i was one of the few kids at school who my dad had a car now mum and dad have cars and often kids also as soon as they get to 17. to have a phone in the house was not every house now every one including kids has a phone. probably we could live easily on one income if we did not expect to have so much.

Some of those things are just progression of technology but the kids sharing a room thing I think is true.. although people are having less kids and still feel they have less money 🤷🏻♀️
