I live in a very humid climate, in Puerto Rico, and do find it very moisturizing but never heavy. I don't feel it on my face, which is AWESOME!!! Thank you for your great video, as always! Hi Kelly I've never really gone back to Korean spf's after the debacle, but although I really love the PC calm mineral spf30 and the skinceuticals mineral spf50 I now use, they are both more expensive (about double the price) than the purito I used before. In the height of Summer ultrasun is my longstanding pick and I fully trust it to protect me, but it's not good on my skin in the colder months - my skin is too dry/sensitive to cope with that formulation then. I need something far more hydrating/moisturising in the colder months, even with all the skincare underneath the spf. I had thought about the new purito one until I saw all the reviews and truthfully they have put me off that one. This sounds a bit more like the texture of the unscented centella one I really liked before, but with hopefully a more accurate spf on the tube. I can't use avobenzone on my skin as it makes my rosacea freak out, but the newer generation chemical filters are usually fine. I have to be really careful with spf's - mineral spf's can be too drying and chemical spf's can sting/burn. The two mineral filters I have been using (mentioned above) are in a really hydrating/moisturising formulation, which is why they have been working for me. If price was no object I would just stick with them, but I would like a more affordable option as well. I may give this one a try. Many thanks and best wishes.

I love this sunscreen. It's the first Korean sunscreen I ever tried. I find myself using it slightly less than the Skin Aqua in the pump bottle though. I'm fairly light skinned, I'd say Fitzpatrick 2 but the white cast is something that I can notice in some areas. After some hours, you might notice faint white lines in shallow wrinkles and I also notice it on my eye lids. It's not a big deal for sure but it was something to consider. It's not water resistant either so I'll probably keep it for colder months. I will say though, I've walked for 11 miles in 90 degree weather using this sunscreen and didn't even tan. Anecdotal but I was absolutely shocked at how well it works for something that's not supposed to be water resistant. I'll continue to use it for sure.

@@jojo-dv3uy no it's not water resistant. Personally I think it's light enough that someone with oily skin might find it ok but I think you're better off with the skin aqua uv super moisture gel. Get the one in the pump bottle with the gold pump. It has a lot of low molecular weight alcohol which you probably would like if you have oily skin. It's also water resistant.

Thanks for your thorough review. I am patiently (not really….) waiting for more Korean brands to incorporate iron oxide into their sunscreens for a better UVA and blue light protection. Additionally, to my best knowledge, that’d help with the cosmetic aspect of sunscreen, especially those containing zinc. (Though I know…. I know….Korean sunscreen texture is one of the best available on the skincare market :D)

Do you think it can double as a day time moisturizer for a dry skin type? * I don't like super heavy moisturizers in the day I prefer alittle lighter weight and heavier at night even in the winter that doesn't really change.

I'm not an expert, but I believe this is just another nice/acceptable sunscreen for rainy days/ winter season and indoor activities. Looking at the ingredients list, we can see the appearance of Tinosorb M, but when looking at the finish, we see no a white cast, so I don't think its % is high. Of course, I understand that formula and technology are the most important things. But that's just what I said. Trust me or not, it's up to you. A lot of people buy sunscreen and say something like OMG this one is so lightweight and doesn't have any downsides of a sunscreen, and then no matter how much they put it on, they still get sunburnt. Trust me, a hardcore sunscreen usually doesn't have a pleasant finish/feeling, unless it's expensive lol.

This is meant as daily sunscreen. It’s not even water resistant. You obviously can’t compare its protection to hardcore sunscreens like Riemann P20 where it is made for outdoor activities, swimming etc. Daily sunscreens like this encourage people to wear sunscreen every day which is always better than nothing. Of course when I go hiking/swimming I opt for my Riemann P20 or LRP Shaka fluid which yeah feel much less pleasant on the skin.

Did you ever try the krave beauty sunscreen before it was recalled? That was my HG sunscreen bc of the texture and finish. I looked like my most healthy self when I wore it! But I actually had to stop using it a while before the sunscreen debacle because the high level of alcohol started to irritate my growing rosacea and sensitivity. I'm always on the lookout for something that will replace it and give me that perfect glow and texture and will reapply well. This BoJ sunscreen sounds very similar in terms of texture and finish. It looks different out of the tube, but on your skin it looks so much like that krave beauty sunscreen. I'm excited about the possibility! ☺️ And I'm pumped that it's a nice formulation and free of essential oils, fragrance, and drying alcohols! The new filters on this one sound really interesting! I haven't tried the newest ones and have hope they might be friendly to my skin. It would be nice to have a lightweight and slight dew sunscreen to use instead of mineral every day. 🤞

I have both and yeah now that you’ve mentioned it, they are pretty similar in terms of finish but I like BoJ wayyy better than Krave! It feels more lightweight & spreads so much easier. Idk it just feels better. You should give it a try!!

@@bhumimandera2515 I actually just got it the other day, and I think it broke me out 😭 my redness was a little increased from it, then the next day I had a bunch of small breakouts on my chin and nose which is pretty unusual for me. It's usually a sign of irritation. I'm going to let my skin recover then try it again for a day next week and see if it happens again. I have such sensitive skin, it's annoying!! Overall though the texture really is lovely and it was a joy to use. That's why I'm going to give it one more chance. Maybe something else irritated my skin that day. 🤞

In my experience, when there is Tinosorb M, sunscreen has that tacky feeling, not necessarily oily or shiny, bit tacky on touch. Anyone else noticed that?

Wouldn't it be very similar? The base of the formula and filters used is exactly the same. Problem is that companies, like Odile monod told us, just buy the same base formula, alter it slightly with some different plant extracts for example without the need to retest it. Benton uses the exact same formula as well.

I think it should be fine it's the Coconut oil that is what people that break out easy has to worry about I have not had any other problems with coconut extracts. I think it's worth a try.

Not sure about causing breakouts but it's a more moisturizing cream so if you have more oily or congestion-prone skin it might not be a fit.

Am I the only one who doesn't like this sunscreen? I tried it when it first came out...tried it once and didn't like it at all to heavy and sticky for my oily skin. I'll stick with Canmake sunscreen. That stuff I love.

Compare the ingredient list with Round Lab birch juice sunscreen and you'll notice the INCI list is almost the same, aside from rice extract and other plant extracts at the bottom of the list. It's a little boring to see everyone is just copying eachother. It's that same thing as Odille Monod told, how those types of creams are tested - they don't need to be retested again and again if the products vary just a little (I cannot remember the allowed % of difference). This makes me kinda doubt the whole thing about SPFs again, although it's clear there are more chemical filters in these and it's very likely those are up to the standard now. A-HA, Benton Air fit UV defence cream has the same composition (differences again only at the end, when it comes to herbal extracts). Very similar INCI list also for Goodal hottunya cordata calming sun cream. Seems they are made by the same manufacturer, Kolmar. This means these creams are so ''affordable'' only because they did not need to test each of those creams, but rather just one. When the other company ordered a new sunscreen from Kolmar, being very similar in composition than the one that was already tested, they do not need to be tested again. It's good for the sake of bureaucracy and costs, but can also be a huge minus if something goes wrong again like it did with Purito, Klairs, etc.
