It will for sure be a really different experience but if you find people with common interests you'll do fine, and the classes and everything should not be horrible, it might be hard at first but you will do fine adjusting :)

im a dancer starting a new school and according to my BFF who goes to that school theres only 1 dancer in the grade. BUT the good news is i met her 2 years ago and we were good friends, i liked her more than my new bff. I also met my NEW BFF in summer camp but we never really talked. 2 years later boom we ran into eachother on a camping trip and now were close AF. The funny thing is i didn't remember her but i knew her name. I guessed it right off the bat.

I'm going to a new school, and I just moved two hours away from my old apartment. I'm headed into the eighth grade, but this new town is so small that 7th-12th grade in the same building. There are only about 750 students enrolled, and it's a brand new building. We just got all our stuff up here yesterday, and school registration is later today. School starts on Monday. Although I've been the new kid at schools four times before, because this is such a small town, I'm really nervous. I'm a bit of a nerd, I love writing, and I'm involved in many fandoms. My main fear is bullying because I tend to snap easily, especially in environments I'm not familiar with. Does anyone have any advice to help?

When I went to a small school, (about 780 students in the whole district) I loved it! Everybody was friendly and I felt that it was easier to make friends because of the smaller community. People will notice you more because they probably aren't used to new people,but it's a good way to introduce yourself and see who you would want to be friends with. Most people will want to know who you are and if they are nice, they might invite you to sit with them at lunch, but if not, don't be afraid to ask people. Try to have fun and be yourself. Good luck!
