I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer (the exact same type as yours) and had the right side of my thyroid removed. It all happened so fast so sudden that I didn’t have time to properly process my emotions, neither did I have the courage to tell my family. So I walked in to the hospital all alone. I honestly was in a ‘down’ and ‘confusing’ state first finding out I had ‘it’, but then the doctors really reassured me with the same words your doctor told you. Now that im watching you go through the whole procedures makes me feel so connected with you and stronger than ever. Thank you for making such a informative video and spreading positive energies, my love for you goes to a whole new different level. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ let’s stay strong together!!!!

I'm getting my surgery in November. I'm very nervous. I decided to have the whole thyroid removed. I was positive for a cancerous nodule on my right side and was due to have another biopsy on my left, but instead of having to keep checking my left side, I decided to just get a full thyroidectomy. It was just by chance that the nodule was found on my right side by my primary doctor. My nodules are like 1 cm, very small. I just pray I don't have to get radioactive iodine. I can handle taking a pill everyday, but I'm not comfortable with the radioactive iodine. I'm 57, and I'm supper bummed about being under anesthesia for 3 or more hours. So this is 2023 and I was told I will be sent home the same day and I was noticing you stayed overnight. I was told by the surgeon thst I will get a draining tube as well, but they typically don't use those anymore. I just hope I could stay overnight cuz I don't want to go home and have to deal with the pain. 😔😳

Yes dont worry. It wont be for lifetime. I also had hyperthyroidism around 18. I was on medications for two years and then my hormone levels were absolutely fine. Il still suggest that in future keep having a check on ur thyroid via ultrasound, usually nodules are formed and that may be cancerous too. I am dealing with one. They say that due to hyperthyroidism, nodules are formed in the gland so keep a check. Also - have a very good lifestyle. No one told me. No smoking no drinking, exercising regularly & sleeping peacefully. You must take care of ur diet also. Then you wont have any cancer in near future inshaAllah. God bless

Hi Briddy, I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably. I would like to share the diet with you. The soup Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat. Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready. I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. (Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.) During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you. I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that you will be healed completely and that the cancer will not return. Best regards Chris “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. John 3:16 (King James Version Bible) Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son Of God the Father.

I couldn't come in every 6 months - and just went about my life in different parts of the USA. My body completely skipped the second tumor and went straight to the 3rd extremely rare one. With my heart and lung failure, my stay will be a little bit different than yours. I’ll have to be on a ventilator, and my surgeon is saying that I’m going to be on the vent longer than most people. Girl I’m dreading it!!! I honestly feel like this video is a sign... for the past 3 months I’ve been feeling this very uncomfortable lump on my left neck and I’ve noticed it getting slightly bigger..? The first month I brushed it off, but once it started getting more uncomfortable (to move my neck or to even lay down) I tried to made a doctor’s appointment. But due to covid, my primary physician was busy and cannot look at it so my appointment was put for a month. After, I talked to my aunt about it and she said she previously saw a doctor for the same thing and thyroidism does run in the family. Fast forward to now, my appointment is on December 7th and I’m superrrrr nervous >.< ... I appreciate you sharing your story and I found it really helpful! ❤️

I had the same surgery when I was 14. I can still remember that I trembled in the bed when I was going to the operation room. I trembled so hard that my sister said that I looked like someone is about to die. But that was exactly how I felt at that time!! Having someone cutting ur throat is so creepy and I was the one that never let anyone to touch my throat. After the surgery, I can’t straighten my neck because I felt like my throat is goin to split if I moves my head a little. And even after four years now , I still have the scar left on my neck(I don’t know the exact name of that part) and people will often ask . Though I have to live with my scar forever, I’m still appreciate that I got the chance to remove it before it turning into cancer and I’m now healthy and happy! Btw, I would recommend u apply some gel specially for removing the scar after surgery and put tape on ur sacr in case it grows out!!

Crazy, i was watching your vids and noticed your scar. Found this video and it was due to. A thyroid removal. I also had a lump in my neck too, first checked it but doctor said it was nothing, a year later and it grew so much. Did biopsy and ultrasounds for it and it came out to be non-cancerous. I had to remove my left thyroid anyways since it would continue to grow. I was about 20 at the time too! Now i just have to keep an eye out on mu right thyroid
@donniemoder14665 ай бұрын
Helpful just to see this video'd. Had 1/2 thyroid taken out 25 years ago, I did not have cancer, just huge benign lump that needed to be removed as it effected my throat and swallowing. I still needed synthetic hormone medicine because the other 1/2 did not provide enough. The medicine works well, especially when you are young. Post surgery similar experience, felt nauseous the first 2 days, and it was a pain in the neck, literally, for a few weeks. Agree that surgery is horrible to go through.

I'm sorry you had to go through this!! Life can be so unfair sometimes. So if you get radioiodine therapy, it's basically just a pill or drink that you get and the radiation gets taken up by any remnant thyroid cells left in your neck or anywhere else in your body and kills them. Its very targeted, so you won't experience the effects of radiation on any other cells. Its non-invasive and the most scary part is having a 3 day stay in an isolation room. Good luck with everything moving fowards! Your friendly neighbourhood Nuc med student :)
