My years as Fresher's Crew were so much better than my actual Fresher's week because I was so much more at ease. I was lucky with textbooks as a lot of mine were available online and I had a Saturday job all through uni. That, and learning how to budget, kept me pretty comfortable and I never had to dip into an overdraft!

Loved this so much! Though it did bring up some not so happy memories from school. My first year away was horrendous, the girls that lived in the rooms right next to mine were really cruel and just constantly bullied me because I wasn't into drinking every night. I ended up going home every weekend because I couldn't take it. Luckily the next year my flatmates were amazing and it made everything so much better!

I was so homesick the the first semester of college here in the states & basically lived off of granola bars in my dorm. People always joke about gaining the Freshman 15, but I actually lost about 20 pounds because I just wasn't eating right. My first semester was completely worthless (social-life wise), but I promise it gets better! I made some of my best friends the first week of my second semester ❤️
