The website was so much fun to me as a kid. You could visit their rooms, read their diary and watch mini episodes and play games. they were simple games yeah but for the time it was great. The Internet was still slow and in its infancy. Complicated games took forever to load back then so their games were fast to play.

I never owned any of the dolls, but I used to spend hours playing on their website playing all the games and watching the webisodes. I liked playing around on Mattel's websites such as the ones for Barbie, Polly Pocket and MyScene, but Diva Starz just felt like it had the most to offer. Summer was my favorite Diva Star because of her love for animals, and I was so disappointed when she got replaced with Miranda who I just felt like a copy of Alexa. I love the TV show concept because it gives me magical girl anime vibes, and finding out that the designs were inspired by anime makes me think this was the intention. It's a shame we never got it.

i'm pretty sure i've left a similar comment on one of your previous videos but it's worth mentioning again i think. i had the Nikki doll from the McDonalds Happy Meal toy line but i lost her some time afterwards. about 2 years ago i found her in my big koi pond by my house, she was submerged in water and her hair had grown into the seaweed so i had to free her. when i'd cleaned her up she looked EXACTLY the same as she did 20 years ago! the only thing that was off was that the colour of her irises was gone but everything else was in near perfect condition. she could even blink still!! we have emptied out and cleaned that pond so many times without ever finding her before as well so that was one of the weirdest things i've experienced with any childhood toy.

I had the same Diva Doll in New Zealand, I agree toys these days aren't as interactive. When people say video games meant these sorts of toys died off, I had video games from 7 years old and still loved physical toys.

My sister had Summer, it wound up being haunted after a while. She took the batteries out one day because it wouldn’t stop going off on its own in her room at night. After the batteries being removed, it still went off on its own. I can’t remember what she did to it, but I think my brothers destroyed it because it was that terrifying. The dolls are cute, but oh my god… lmfao… that was a terrifying experience.

When I was a little kid, some of the girls liked to play being Diva Starz and everyone always wanted to be Tia. She always seemed to be sold out when I went to look at them, but I didn't care much because I wanted Alexa. When we bought her, Summer was sold out, too. I didn't want Nikki at all because I hated sports. I had a Miranda fashion doll later on too, and I think she had strawberry blonde hair there instead of plain blonde. Plus she has green eyes while Alexa's eyes are blue. But to be honest, I wondered what had happened to Summer. I'm not sure who gave me Miranda, but I think I ended up accidentally leaving her in a B&B in Wellington. I definitely played with her there, but I don't remember her after that. To be honest, the only other memory of that place I have is watching Roald Dahl videos of Revolting Rhymes with Quentin Blake illustrations playing as a voiceover tells the story. Mainly Little Red Riding Hood shooting the wolf with a pistol, and in The Three Little Pigs, the pig with the brick house calling her and her ending up with two wolfskin coats and a pigskin suitcase.

Summer was my favourite. I had Alexa wave 2 though. I had fashion Miranda and Nikki dolls. So the thing is my Alexa spoke English and I couldn't understand her, but my Miranda and Nikki dolls had their lines recorded in French, except you couldn't interact with the fashion dolls like you could with the bigger headed ones. I also found it really weird how the dolls only had hair on top of their heads, haha. I LOVE the web series!
