🎵 The COMPLETE Hymnal 1982 | Organ Marathon | Part 2

How about a COMPLETE rendition of The Hymnal 1982 (according to the use of the Episcopal Church)?
In this 2-part Organ Marathon (it has to be 2 parts because there are so many hymns!) I will play all 720 of the hymns in 'The Hymnal 1982' in order to raise money for the new BEAUTY IN SOUND organ.

Sadly, this was a busy weekend so we were unable to join for most of the marathon, but incredibly well done, Richard and Caroline, and all who were there for much of it. Richard is amazing, one can clearly tell Richard is an accomplished Organist and musician. He plays hymns he has never heard before with such wisdom and familiarity. He reads the key signature, reads the notes before he starts he probably hears the sound of the music before he places his hands on the keyboard of the Organ. It is astounding to watch he tackle a hymn he has never heard and play it with such professionalism. We've got to get him this new ORGAN, send the funds to Richard immediately.

8:46:45 Regarding which hymn was Herbert Howell's - O holy city, seen of John with the tune name of Sancta Civitas: here in the Hymnal 1982, it is No. 582. (The hymn starts here in this video at 7:02:16 and the commentary about the hymn before playing the hymn starts at 7:00:52.) Regarding what I think of it: it's a bit unusual but I would imagine it would get better and better the more I play it. This series has opened my eyes and ears to so many beautiful hymns that I didn't know were in The Hymnal 1982, and I have been playing from it almost every Sunday since 2005. It has been a good experience for improving my sight-reading skills since I have already been exposed to so many new hymns, and now after listening to the hymns of this Marathon, it's amazing just how many new and beautiful hymns there are in this hymnal.

Nice to know that parishes still have an organ . My parish caused me to stroke out three times, and as soon as they could get rid of me, the organ was "placed in storage', Nice recompense for the nearly 50 years given (started when I was 14), mostly free use of my time and talent.
