Thanks for the video . Just got the fancy leather spoon kit . Haven’t carved a spoon yet but have used all the tools and yet are alright out of the box but since it came with the strop and compound that’s was a win Only been carving hi end pine and cuts ok . Hopefully get some box wood

When I first saw the title I was curious about which tools you’d use. I have to admit I’d be really nervous about cutting myself. We have to anti-cut gloves but it might interfere with a good grip. I’m happy to sand all day long tho 😄 Maybe you could drill a hole in the handles & hang them to store 👍

How about learning how to carve and grain structure before you offer advice to anyone about tools and carving.
