Many of the events you have to do in the game are based on actual episodes from before that boy's mother blamed the trailer fire on that show (when they didn't even have cable). The Burger World stage is based on the episode of the same name, the Drive-In stage is based on "At the Movies" and "Beware of the Butt", the Hospital stage is based on "Bedpans & Broomsticks" and "Sick", the Couch Fishing stage is based on the episode of the same name, and cutting down the tree is based on "Lawn and Garden" (though oddly, Beavis uses the Chainsaw instead of Butthead). In addition, there's the pet shop from "Good Credit", the Yogurt shop from "Yogurt's Cool", the toy store from "Balloon", the laundromat from "Washing the Dog", the US Army Recruitment Station from "Be All You Can Be", and the boxing glove/baseball bat from "Babes 'R' Us".

It's weird I can still remember playing through allot of games and remember allot of what I was doing with what seems like it happened yesterday. Like when I first played Super Castlevania IV while playing it at a buddies house. Fet bad because we had this thing about switching off whenever you died completely. I never did and ended up beating it. Or when I got my SNES (For my birthday, I really paid for it myself) my best friend got me a second controller and I just rented Street Fighter II (World Warrior) as it just came out for consoles. My friend thought it was weird that I chose to get a core system (it is why I only had the one controller)to get some weird go kart game instead of Super Mario World (you could pick it up used cheap) that looked boring in the one screenshot he saw in Game pro. Until we played battle mode. He never talked shit about Super Mario Kart again.

Alex, I gotta disagree with you on this game, too. Before that, Can I just mention how *GREAT* _Beavis & Butthead_ was!? Its lowbrow humor, theme music, the hilarious couch segments, and all of the memorable characters are all spot on! It's still funny to this day, giving it lots of replayability. I played mostly the superior *SNES* game a lot as a kid, and the *Genesis* game at a friend's house over on weekends. I'll say that while the *SNES* version isn't perfect, it has fun gameplay, good music, good graphics, and good looking cut scenes that look like the show. How could you go wrong on Sega's 16-Bit Wonder? ... Positives • *Good Music* • *Good Graphics* • *Good Voiceovers* • *Nice Looking Stills for Genesis Standards* (Captures the show so well) *Negatives* • *Terrible Enemy Placement* (Like, Sonic Advance 3 Terrible) • *Pointless Passwords* (You still have all of the items, but what good is that is your health is lowered & have to collect ticket pieces all over again?! What we're they *THINKING!!?* ) • *Slow Gunfire* • *Only 1 LIFE* (No extra lives or continues! I remember my mom getting my this game around 1998 when we did a "Christmas in July" kinda thing. I hated the game at first, as it was confusing as hell, but eventually it grew on me. If nothing else, the sound effects, graphics, and even music perfectly capture the spirit of the show. I still think a beat-em-up type game would be best to fit the show's feeling.

Never got far in this game as a kid because of the difficulty. After watching both the Genesis and SNES playthrough I would have to say the Genesis version is more fun to watch. It followed more of a story and was less repetitive. It also seems like the Duo had a slightly larger vocabulary in the Genesis version... if not, the laughing was less annoying at least. This game isn’t perfect but I do like that they tried to combine two different genres of games.

Aside from the massive sprites, Trial and error is really the only major issue with the game, and it's a problem that becomes easy to deal with on repeat playthroughs. The other games based on the series are just shallow and boring, and don't really test your brain.

Ninja Gaiden... • *It's Memorization that's satisfying when you learn the Ins & Outs of the game* (You have to learn where enemies are going to be, item locations in the levels, smart ways to deal with enemies without dying too much, learning patterns of said enemies & bosses, getting used to the control, etc. It's *SO* satisfying when you beat a tough game that relentlessly kicked your ass over and over after repeat playthroughs. Ninja Gaiden gives you that. Beavis and Butthead on Genesis (Mega Drive) doesn't give you that same feeling at all. Here's why) Beavis & Butthead (Genesis/ Mega Drive)... • *A Similar kind of Memorization that's designed very, VERY poorly* (First off, there's WAY too many enemies to survive through. It's nearly impossible to not get hit by a skateboard or shopping cart at least once since they're so random. It's bad design! Second, the game is terribly flawed at leading the player at where to go to next, or what items to use in some circumstances. How the HELL is a kid in the 90's without Internet supposed to know that one of the tickets is found by using the Fishing Rod from the Beavis & Butthead's house?! How is a kid supposed to know that you have to throw a Bomb at the theater's concession stand, causing a soda spill, and lead an angry woman that was caught having sex to said spill to slip and fall on it, netting you a ticket piece!? (Might I remind you the woman is as fast as you are. So either get good, or die a lot!) How is a kid gonna know to that Butthead [Not Beavis] is supposed to eat the Rotten Burger, Enter his name as the code to get into the kitchen, put the rat into the grease to feed the guy demanding service, thus letting him burp out a ticket piece... [😕 WTH?] *A-ND* let's not forget that Butthead is still sick from that rotten burger! So you take him to the Hospital [which is easier said than done, given the onslaught of enemies in this game!], the Nurse cures the duo, and you have to be great at that stupid driving game afterwards. Fourth, said driving stage. It's so ridiculously difficult because for one, get hit a couple times and it's Game Over, the sprite of Beavis and Butthead is too big, and the obstacles are *EVERYWHERE* . It's frustrating, unfair, and horribly designed! Lastly, there's what happens after you input the password. So, you input that and you still have the Tickets, but your health is almost gone, as well as items you've collected. 1. That's simply *ATROCIOUS* game design if I ever saw it. 2. How is anybody going to beat this unreasonably hard game with little to no health!!!? That's Impossible!!!😤) Can you now see why the many issues in this game ultimately *kill* it for me? It's just a means to piss of the player (like me)! I just can't believe that the SNES version is deemed a bad game, yet the Genesis (Mega Drive) version has way too many flaws that make it more frustrating than enjoyable, and people think it's a better game! [Like, What?!😕] The SNES version is more forgiving. It has lives, better difficulty, most importantly, better design. It _does_ retain that "health almost gone" garbage from the Genesis (Mega Drive) game, and a shared life bar in 2 players making the game unplayable. Otherwise, it's a lot better than the Genesis (Mega Drive) version, that's for dang sure! UPDATED Final Ratings: Genesis (Mega Drive): 3/10 SNES: 6/10

Bloody hell. What's with these massive comments? This is insanely overwhelming. Why not just make a video, or a blog post instead? Also. Sorry but I can't Ninja Gaiden. Enemies are placed in cheap spots, requiring practically pixel perfect gameplay which is pushing the player way too much. You also have the last level that's almost impossible due to the bullshit placement, and the final boss which seems to have a rather obtuse pattern. I like hard games (Wipeout, Mega Man 4 and 9, F-Zero) but this just simply isn't fun for me. Also. Your criticism on the game being cryptic. Yeah, no shit. There were a lot of 8 and 16-bit games that practically required a guide to beat them. I hate Zelda 1, I don't like Metroid 1, I'm mixed on Castlevania 2, etc. Even in the PS1 era, you had games like the Tomb Raider series particularly the sequels that go overboard with obtuse puzzles. Even in the 6th gen, you had Super Mario Sunshine and the blue coins. So the game's cryptic. Big deal. It means you're getting your money's worth for the time, and the game is cheap now so just pull up a guide (or do it the hard way) and... Never mind. Why am I even wasting my time with someone who loves to overanalyse? Also. I've seem some of your other comments. Mario Kart 64 is mostly shit by today standards and Sonic 2, although I came to enjoy more on repeat playthroughs, is very rough around the edges.

I want to like Beavis & Butthead on Genesis (Mega Drive). I really do. But the poorly executed gameplay just doesn't do it for me. I am aware that I can use a guide, but I rather not come back to this game ever again. I'm still glad that my younger self missed out on the Genesis (Mega Drive) version. But hey, I _you_ prefer that version, more power to you. It makes no sense to me that people ignore the problems it has. I can't make videos because I don't have the things necessary to do that, so that's why you see my reviews on these videos. I can't make a blog either because I don't own a computer. Sonic 2 can frustrating for 1st timers, but when playing it over and over and over, you can beat the game in about an hour with ease. My first playthrough, was frustrating because of the enemies thrown at you (STUPID SLICERS!!). Now I can beat the game no problem. I Don't bother with the special stages because I prefer the normal ending better than the good ending. Tails saving Sonic from his demise beats Super Sonic gliding downward and not needing Tails' rescue efforts. Ninja Gaiden is no easy game. Enemies constantly come at you, levels are stingy with ammo and sub-weapons, you have to learn boss patterns, knockback, stiff control takes getting used to, etc. But If you keep at it many times, you'll find yourself on the other side of the beating. Which is incredibly satisfying. *NOW* ,do you understand why all of that's necessary?!

this game is a 2d open world basically. its plays like a point and click mixed with a platformer but has some elements of like a fixed camera angles resident evil game. really low key inventive game. I'm not sure there was anything like it, definitely not in this MS paint like world at least, the same style as something like pizza tower. The angry nerd review shit all over this game, its not perfect by a long shot but there is so much potential here overlooked. We wouldnt really see another game like this until more recent indie games since the 3d perspective took over and dominated the game space's attention just one generation from the genesis onward.

Lazy Hazy Tbf, this is a game where you need to "learn" how to play it in order to master it. Once you know the best stage order, where to backtrack, and how to complete certain objectives, the game becomes really easy. What never made any sense to me was how this was allowed to release on a home console. The Genesis game looks like it would have worked better as a PC point and click game but then it changed in the middle of development to become a home console game. The SNES game works better imo since its more of an action based game. It looks like it suited the needs of what more people would of expected on a home console in the early 90s. You could master this game, you could become the best at it with a lot practice and trial & error but why would people choose to do that with this game over others with superior gameplay or stories like super metroid, FF2 or 3, secret of mana, chrono trigger, Phantasy Star, Beyond Oasis, Disney’s Aladdin, Earthworm Jim, Gunstar heroes, Landstalker and other great games that were there around that time?
