He always treated Beavis like a younger brother, he’d make fun of him but when something drastic usually came up, he’d feel the need to protect him. i remember the nosebleed episode where Beavis gets a small nosebleed and Butthead genuinely try’s to help him but ends up failing again and again because he’s dumb. it isn’t always the best relationship, but i do think the two view each other as best friends, even if one is more empathetic.

This show was so ahead of its time. I used to love this cartoon as a teenager. I always found it hilarious but my best friend thought it was corny no matter how hard I tried getting him into it. I know the jokes are weird and childish, but they are still funny. I think what threw a lot of people off are the fart jokes and butt jokes and the fact that these two were always laughing. Also, most of the workers at fast food places in the US are there full time, and many of them aren't kids fresh out of school. When the lower class has actual spending power, everyone benefits and the economy does much better. It's basic economics!
