Fun fact: This game was made by five white guys from Canada. If you enter a cheat code, it actually replaces the characters on the title screen with the developers, and the character selection screen is replaced by a photo of a Vancouver ski club that the developers were members in.

Also on the rotating bookshelf to two rooms thing...it absolutely could, the bookcase would have to be made to not open 90 degrees but rather something like 60 degrees while the wall separating the two rooms will have a wedge shape of about 30 degrees to compliment the angled opening.
