Sry nostalgia critic but . . . Agree to disagree. (No hard feelings and love your other videos but this one, sry.) First off I believe the film earth setting was in California and that Julie was moving to NJ. As bad in several elements as this movie may be (being a Cannon Film) it still has nostalgic re-watch value (and obviously enough for you to make a video about it ;) ) And if you think of it, this is more Skeletors film than it is HeMan's, which makes this story more unique in the fact that he's pulling all the strings in hopes that he not only defeats HeMan finally, but makes him submit so as not to make him a saint. If that's not a crafty and excellent villain motive, I dunno what is. And who better than Langella. All that aside, I get it. Not a great film as far as filmmaking goes, but still nostalgic being the first film I remember seeing on the big screen as a kid in the 80s. PS you forgot to mention how epic the score was hahaha.

An article in the trade publication Earnshaw's Infants' Department in June 1918 said: The generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl. Pink was set for Boys until the late 40's. It became the color of girls after WW2.

One night a few years ago I was watching a kid's channel. It was late and I was tired, but He-Man was on I watched it for the first time. It was a back to back kind of thing and I was only awake for the first episode. The next night I decided to stay up once again to watch it because He-Man intrigued me. I was able to stay up for both episodes, and an episode of She-Ra which was on right after. Later I found about the shows that came on afterwards like Sherlock Holmes In the 22nd Century and Where In the World is Carmen Sandiego. Later I decided to visit the channel again and watch He-Man, but when I got to the time it was usually on, it wasn't on. I waited an hour or two more, and still nothing. I was distraught as hell.

Agree. The actor sounds like Arnold sometimes.

fun fact: he-man came of the sale company who did toys from conan the barbarian but the factory could not get the license so they did the cartoon series.

I was a He-Man fan and I appreciate Dolph Lundgren's effort despite his own lack of confidence about his acting ability at the time. If I ever meet him, I have an Etsy fan made power sword I'd like to get a photo of him holding aloft! Lol. This video was a fun watch though! Thanks!

it looks like Star wars but with different costumes. storm troopers wear black, his sword reflects lasers, there's a hairy Yoda, an older Emperor etc. Even final fight ends like SW - he throws bad guy down the endless pit

11:00 I wouldn't necessarily say that that is *gay* overtones, but there are definitely some sort of overtones there.

*14:45* I'm not exactly an expert on He-Man, because all I've seen of him comes from this channel, but I do know a lot about Ghirahim (from LoZ SkSw) and it seems to me that he is at least as gay as He-Man. Not to mention, he is also dignified and kind of smart.

I watched this for the first time at Youmacon 2009, where Doug and crew riffed on it during a late night panel. That was a fantastic night!!!

RIP John McCain

1:37 Because they were based on toys of the same franchise called Masters of the Universe, which is why the live-action movie is called that.

He-Man is not a gay icon, when he is just a toy.

At 6:36 was that a sandstorm reference?

What about the weird post credits scene? Skeletors head pops up and in the lamest way possible he says “I’ll be back” trying to set up a sequel that never f*cking happened.

I dunno. That speech sounded more Trump than McCain.

Throne Zwei True. But then again, this review came out WAY before Trump became president. Hell, this review came out around the time Barack Obama won the election of becoming president.
