In my theory, there 2 reasons of why kep1er's recent comeback isn't that successful: 1. Chaehyun was basically not seen 2. Distributions sucks so bad. Chaehyun's biggest fanbase is from south korea and i guess chae's fans boycotted "troubleshooter" era bcs their fav are not there. Xiaoting's visuals are very noticeable, they can just cover up over her lack of lines and she was part of the intro of the song. This is why ppl said that kpop is just business and it shows very well. Nowadays, visuals (xiaoting) are more recognizable than talents (chaehyun). All they care abt is visuals, visuals and visuals. 1. I mean People do realise gp999 is a global show and Xiaoting was actually one if the most popular candidates and was first for most of the episodes. This shows how many people recognize her talents. I mean we can't say at the end of the day who actually deserved first place as People chase behind the most popular and get trapped by mnet's evil editing and again the final voting system gave 50% priority to korean voters which isn't fair as there were 33 contestants from 3 different nations participating. Even china and japan votes should have been given the same priority. This voting system is what made Chae Hyun got first place. Otherwise bahiyyih would have gotten first place. Plus the other members are constantly doing activities to build their own brand because unlike wy and yj, they don’t have 4 years worth of experience and networking.
