I wish you would do a shopping video for aldi! I know maybe you don’t shop there, but hearing your perspective on their products would be really help me find more of their healthy options. I shop there to save money, and I always keep my eye out for their healthiest options, but I’m not a nutrition professional.

Could you do a video on what makes some people seem to gain weight more than others? Whether there is truth in the 3 different body types (meso, endo, ecto -morph) or perhaps different hormones or genetics or whatever it might be? I'm a moderately healthy eater who works out a lot and it can be really frustrating that I'm on the heavy-normal/low-overweight range when people I know eat whatever and are fine. It makes me hyper conscious of food and food guilt and I know I should make peace with my body, but I am also carrying a higher than necessary amount of body fat so I think I should be concerned. Thank you for your videos, been watching for a few years now and I love the information!

Can you do a video on why grass fed cows are so important to you. I’m an agriculture major and am genuinely curious as to why you believe that grass fed is so much better then supplementing dairy cows with a small amount of grain.
@Cosmicladybug6 жыл бұрын
You should check out the documentary Food Inc. it shows you what goes on in subsidized farming. It could be also be a moral issue for her, I dunno. But also cow stomachs are really only meant to digest grass. They're really not supposed to be eating grains. So if it makes them sick, they get treated with antibiotics, and when they lose weight or if they are too skinny, they are given hormones to beef them up.... etc etc Basically you don't want to ingest the same antibiotics and hormones that the cow was ingesting.

Grass fed cows produce milk that is filled with more nutrients because of their diet. Similarly, for caged-free eggs, chickens are free to roam and scavenge their food, so their diet will make the eggs more rich in vitamins and nutrients.
@Faye-px1rr6 жыл бұрын
Don’t eat either and just go plant based you get everything you need from foods from the earth leave the animals alone doesn’t make any difference if you grass feed them or not they all have the same fate the slaughter house meat dairy and eggs is unhealthy how ever you eat it make it if it’s grass fed or not it still give us all the illnesses and health problems
@natureswanderlust6 жыл бұрын
By percentage the omega 3 fat content is higher in grass-fed BUT by actual AMOUNT it is basically nothing. It's like comparing $1 (grain supplemented) vs 25% more (grass-fed) which is $1.25 which isn't that much more money wise. I don't see why she is pushing "grass-fed" a lot. - Nutriton major student.
@heartnlovely6 жыл бұрын
Nathan Pham can you explain how the milk is filled with more nutrients because of their diet. I am an third year agriculture major in college. All cows wether they are grass fed or grain supplemented still eat grass all day. The only difference is that farmers will supplement a small amount of grain as needed for the cow. It’s not like grain fed cows only eat grain. 90% of their diet is a type of grass or hay.

My most go-to bars now are RX bars. I used to eat a lot of Quest, One, No Cow, etc.....but all the fiber KILLS my stomach so I just stay away from them now. I really want to try Perfect bars and Square Organics but I honestly don't eat bars enough to spend that much on them. If you are looking for a bar with simple, whole ingredients, though, RX bars are the best! Their new nut butter packets are BOMB also!

Remember "Grass Fed" just means they feed the cows "Grass Pellets" ~ NOT as nutritious as "Pasture Raised Grass Fed". For ground beef, check out "Thousand Mills" brand for the better quality pasture raised grass fed. I believe Kerrygold is pasture raised for butter and cheeses. More stores are now carrying Kerrygold cheese, our Sam's Club has the most reasonably priced for the cheese - I am sure Costco too, I don't live by a Costco so I don't know.
