The novel technology bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) is central to the government's net-zero plans. Public engagement will be key to the social acceptance of BECCS: our research analyses this engagement through public discourse: the 'storylines' used in the news media by stakeholders both supportive and critical of the technology.
