Becket Cook was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended Jesuit College Preparatory
School of Dallas. After graduating from college, Becket moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of writing and acting, finding success in both. He eventually went on to become a production designer working with the top photographers and directors in the world on fashion shoots for magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and for ad campaigns such as Gap, L'Oréal Paris, and Nike.
Finding a new sense of freedom in L.A., Becket also fully engaged in his new life as a gay man. He had a series of many relationships with men throughout the next fifteen years.
In September of 2009, Becket met a stranger at a coffee shop in Silver Lake who invited him to his church in Hollywood called Reality L.A. Becket reluctantly agreed to attend the service. After hearing the sermon that Sunday, Becket was utterly transformed by the gospel and gave his life to Christ. He also knew on that day when God revealed Himself to him that homosexuality was a sin and that he could no longer live that life. Becket was more than happy to count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord.
Becket spends much of his time in ministry speaking at churches, universities, and conferences helping believers (and non-believers) understand this issue biblically, theologically, culturally, and personally. Balancing grace and truth when teaching on this subject is of primary importance. His goal is to challenge the current cultural narrative about sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular by demonstrating through his personal testimony and biblical truths that, yes, homosexuality is still a sin, and that following Christ is infinitely more satisfying and joyous.
He has lived all over the world in major cities such as Rome, Vienna, and Tokyo.
Becket graduated from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in 2017 with a Master of Arts in Theology.

@Becket- does the born again person,ie, the new creation, ie, the Body Of Christ , have vices? You agree that agreeing with demons gives them place , at least at times physical vulnerability? Why identify as someone other than the body and temple of Christ? The power of life and death is in the tongue. Nan lives by the fruit of his lips. We walk , receive, and live by faith. In one breath you rebuke in Jesus name , and in another either separate yourself from Him or that tge Body Of Christ has " vices" , demonic devices, weapons that bind. Instead, get born again , ie, totally new, instantly holy, and read the Bible fresh as if God already interpreted what He wanted to say, and then He wrote that through those that knew Him personally. All that said, even those that believe and affirm their Biblical identity in Christ have still been daily and nightly attacked in all kinds of demonic ways, but no possible vices in Christ. You want to keep your " vices" , just continue to identify with them. Want them to drop instantly, forsake your life, hate the way of the world, and the old , flesh, nature, be birn again, or if already, then fo that again to get back in fellowship with Father. Be very careful what you presume and accept. Prove all things, hold fast what is good. Love you very much.

Heres an interesting question, gas anyone every heard a voice that actually emanated from inside of them, more specifically, from just below the rib cage? If so, what did it sound like? Thankfully, I was also saved out of a life of new age "seeking " for a number of years. I was just lost and displaced as a young teenager who was tossed aside by my family, who divorced. I was broken and traumatised. For about 9- 10 years, I was caught up in all sorts of dangerous situations. I was on the brink of ending my life. And then I was hounded by heavens army. Little by little, I just realised that God was SOOOOO REAL. I'm 62 years young, and have been through some awful situations but Yeshua Messiah has never left me as an orphan. ANOINT YOUR HOME! :) Sometimes, when I stay in other peoples homes, the bad dreams sometimes reoccur "until" I anoint their home or my room, then they stop. I lived with a woman who embraced occultic things and practices. I was surrounded by demons until the Lord Jesus told me to "anoint the house," and after I did, it stopped. She brought a "Shaman" into the house to bless it and the darkness started all over again. The Lord told me to anoint the house again, and when I did, the darkness and demonic presence left again. There's no limit to how many times you can anoint your home. If he doesn't live with you, when you visit him, anoint his house. lolllll Then watch what happens! :)

Like this woman, I myself thought I had spirit guides, dead relatives communicating with me ( the amount that this has happened on this earth, the so -called 'ancestors' but in reality, its the demonic realm, oh my gosh, this has been repeated over and over a gazillion times), I got free, I follow Jesus now. A lot of the things this woman is naming, the same here. The couple year period before the demons started manifesting in my life I was into: conspiracy theories, meso-american influenced religion (i.e. Carlos Castaneda) , UFO-ology, numerology, among others. My son had demons attach themselves to him when we lived with my sister before he was even 2 years old. I say that it was probably in her house as she would dabble in occult things like card readings in her home. Before he was saved as a child (about 10), he told me he had two spirits that he could see influencing what he did. One masqueraded as good but was bad and the other was bad. Well, we had quite the struggle when he wanted to be saved. Spirits weren't happy and tormented him. Finally we had a moment and he prayed for his salvation. I heard him talking one night out loud and I was freaking out that the spirits were still there. I went to ask him who he was talking to and he told me Jesus. I asked how he knew and he pointed at his chest and said because he's talking to me from here. So I am so thankful that Jesus helped him to have protection against the evil spirits that had plagued him in his early childhood. He is a well adjusted late teenager now who loves Jesus. We've had behavioral issues from time to time but nothing like what was happening before he accepted Christ into his life. 💕

This is such an important interview for people to hear. New Age started creeping into my Christian life in the 2010’s…I wasn’t even aware of its origins, Reiki, crystals, meditation, positive affirmations..I even saw a medium (once) that had a picture of Jesus in her room. In 2016, cancer cleared my calendar and took my faith to a very pure place and through KZbin I discovered how off course all that was and how it’s dressed up to appear normal or complimentary to Christian values. My great-grandmother was a medium. She and her husband bought my grandmother a Ouija board. A little girl down the street invited my grandmother to a United Method Sunday School where she gave her life to Jesus. Anyway, the Ouija Board spelled out, "Iva must not do this." And then again. She never played again. So thankful for grace!

This is true n real - all of it - I did tarot “ Native American wisdom cards” sage , crystals, channeling, even using my photography to manifest and channel through that medium - my ancestors did more of black magic via Santeria and I wanted to veer towards a more “white light” kind of thing since I was told I had a “gift” - I was actively seeking guidance from a Shaman - so much happened but God stepped in -tHank you Jesus for snatching me out of the fire and thank you Beckett and Jenn for blowing the lid on this ! It will answer. I was in gradeschool , along with my brother and we asked a question and it answered right and I yelled to my mom that "IT works". And that disappeared so fast out of our house, that I wondered where it came from and where it went. Problem I grew up where we didn't ask questions. Which has been a problem my whole life. I like how this woman responded at the fulfilled prediction from dreaming/divination: It felt dark, but there was this curiousity. I came out of being an athiest and naturalist, the supernatural evil world became manifest in my life. I would say, exactly the same for me, even though something about it is dark, and you know it is, but its that curiosity or something, that is pulling you to it. I remember when I was a kid, playing with an Ouija board with my kid sister. At the time, we were living in the same town as Linda Blair, the then future 'star' of 'The Exorcist'. I don't remember us getting any message from that Ouija board, but it is true that Satan does look for those kinds of 'openings', and other things he can enter into, too.

So glad someone is speaking up about this topic. I have heard her speak on other platforms and I appreciate her bravery and honesty. Johanna michaelsen was writing about this in the late 80s and her experience is very similar. My own mother talked about these things when I was a kid and I'm glad she did, or else I would have never known, plus I was very drawn to it and probably would have went down similar paths. I see so much occult becoming mainstream- book stores and toy stores are full of it. Especially targeted at kids. Then we wonder why kids are suffering from so many mental issues and depression/anxiety. It's not to be scared of it, it's about confronting it for what it is and clearing it out.

Thank you Beckett. Clearly we need to understand what people (especially young people) who may try to bargain and replace Jesus Lord and Savior. To quote Pascal “ In every man’s heart, there is a God shaped vacuum that God alone can fill.” Believe in miracles, but trust in Jesus alone.

Prayers for you Jenn! Thank you Beckett! I can relate to the attacks from Satan, a few weeks after I was saved I had a demonic spirit speak into my head aloud when I was reading my bible, speaking lies. I was so green I didn't even know to say in the name of Jesus leave me alone, I just held my head screaming stop, stop it. I was under spiritual attack because if Satan can't keep you out of the kingdom then he's going to do things to stop you from following the Lord. This incident led to a terrible spiritual battle to where I felt like I was hanging off a thousand foot cliff by my finger nails but the Lord brought me through it. The battle is real, for we do not battle with flesh and blood but powers of darkness! Blessings to the both of you!

I would really like clarification, what should a Christian do if they experience a “Psychic Attack” as Jenn called it? Say a sudden un explained knowledge, or a dream that comes true. Stuff that you didn’t seek out, didn’t court, and don’t want? Every one adresses the obvious stuff like tea leaves, tarot cards, Etc, but how do you know who sent the knowledge, or the dream? Especially if it’s comes true weeks later, and until then, it’s just another dream.

I think God does relay information that may be needed in your life....but you have to make sure you don't go to other sources for more. You wait upon God. You have to be very careful and stay close to God. Satan is so clever in deceiving and certainly he will try things to see if he can persuade you to gradually embrace the darkness. Pride is one of his favorite tools.

Beckett, I have a friend who had an experience similar to yours. Joy was a teenager in the late 60's, an unsaved hippie but, apparently, one who was searching spiritually. At one point in the years that followed, Joy went to a seance. While sitting there with other people, the medium turned to her and said, "Some people believe in Jesus, but you REALLY believe in Him." Joy was still unsaved at that point, but did indeed get born again later. Excellent testimony.

The last part is especially true- that people who don’t know the truth tend to think you are insane or joined some kind of cult- I still don’t know how to get through to them….. I just pray for them a lot, and ask God to open their eyes to the truth! 🙏🏻
