Becky can you follow up with a question…what is the incentive after wages, healthcare, taxes, rent, cost of goods, insurance, supplies costs, utilities, maintenance, shipping are they the lead entrepreneurs here making more than their local Goodwill or Large Thrift Co. offers their production warehouse managers or the regional managers? I’m trying to decide if it’s worthwhile to go back into those fields or to use my own resources to duplicate a similar business. Thanks for your video and help!
@beckyparkcoАй бұрын
GREAT question. They might poke around in the comments and answer your question themselves, but I'll send this along to them as well!
@KyleShultz6Ай бұрын
Hi MandyDrew, great question! Starting a business like Reseller Supply Co. can be incredibly rewarding, but I think it’s important to be real about the challenges, too. Entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone-it can mean a lot of stress, long hours, and sleepless nights, especially in the early days. If you’re new to reselling or the idea of running your own business, I always recommend starting small, as a part-time reseller. Test the waters while keeping the stability of a job. From there, you can grow one step at a time, learning as you go and building your systems. That said, the potential benefits of entrepreneurship-like flexibility, independence, and unlimited earning potential-can be worth it for those who can stomach the risk and uncertainty. It’s not always glamorous, and I think most people are naturally wired to thrive as employees. But if you’re one of the “crazy ones” who loves building something from scratch and taking on challenges, reselling could be an exciting path. If we can help at all, please reach out!😊

Great answer and thank you for taking the time to give a complete explanation. I suspected that it would come down to an entrepreneurial passion and fiercely independent spirit. And that’s not crazy! I have all kinds of entrepreneurs in my family and have worked with a few new businesses and groups - it’s part of the DNA to want to blaze a different trail. I think I resonate more with using my entrepreneurial enthusiasm to build out a sound business structure, and then growing a leadership team to continue the success forward to support a long-term positive community. Thanks for helping me see that more clearly.

How are they cover the cost of all that mall space on 200 sales a day?
@PaulaGPDXАй бұрын
I'm very new to this, but unless you're creating unique bundles, I don't get the appeal of cosmetics. A lot of the ones Becky displayed are items you can, as a buyer, order from Ulta or Sephora online. This isn't a criticism. I'm just trying to understand the appeal. Is it severe discounting or something else? Note for Kyle - You should offer high school and college kids paid internships to help you with your listings. A lot of them have retail experience already but not reseller experience; they could clue you into on Gen Z trends; and to be able to learn from expert resllers like them -- at such a young age -- would be a sweet summer or part-time gig! Just a thought and great video!

@sunshinedream7772Ай бұрын
I can’t even fathom having that amount of money, just sitting there in 2 warehouses 😱
@maryh.6902Ай бұрын
I grew up watching these warehouses. It's incredible to see how the inventory moves. It's like seeing a trailer arrive weekly. It's like McDonald's fills a warehouse once a week. By Saturday it's empty. In these businesses, everything moves. It seems like it doesn't move much, but the truth is different. Only those who know know.

I truly think their selling lots of one brand just hurts the resell price cause it floods the market of them? It seems best to sell mix brands and mix pieces. It would be good idea to hire remote listers with them suppling photos and prices also. I’d work for them ☺️

They have so much money in hard good & shoes inventory sitting around not being listed in the last part of the video. That is a whole new level of death pile 🤣. They do seem like a great company to connect with, I might be interested in their mixed boxes & mixed clothes but I don't want a high flaw rate.
@beckyparkcoАй бұрын
It was the death pile of death piles haha. Yeah - I think they know what kinds of items have flaws (seems like mainly return pallets), and it seems like there are boxes with items that don't contain any items from return pallets. Kind of like the third box in my unboxing video.

If I were them I'd pretend I have market rent and see how the numbers look then. They seem to be very good at cosmetics and jewelry and are expanding into a bunch of other stuff all at the same time that they have no idea about. Hope they hit the breaks or slow down before its too late.
@beckyparkcoАй бұрын
That's fair! I think their philosophy has been "Try stuff and see how it goes. Adjust as needed." As of right now, I know they're very open to listening to what people have to say. They want to be an asset to the community.
@cekz5199Ай бұрын
@@beckyparkco I think they have too many blind spots. Its nice they want to please their sources but some stuff and brands unfortunately has only 1 destiny and its a junk yard it just a matter of who will throw it there. So they may want to leave the apt 9 alone and learn how to research clothes sell thru carefully so they can buy smart as they said. I wish them luck they seem to have a good team maybe they can make it work long term.
