This video has motivated me for the years, started 6 years ago, now at the age of 57 I am an “Ironman”, Mont-Tremblant 21 Aug 2022 and very fortunate to have Mike call me in and the two shouts outs by Jacques while at T1/T2. What an experience, many more to come.

At the time of this video's release, I was sick with a neurological condition and wasn't allowed to swim in the open water or ride my bike on the roads. It also left me ridiculously unfit and overweight. But now, I'm preparing for my first Ironman (Ironman Wales) in less than 5 weeks. This race is really a statement on overcoming challenges and barriers.

I had planned to do an IronMan for my 40th birthday but suffered a slipped disk injury training for a different event. I promise myself that i will cross the line of an Ironman event even if it is later then planned!

@@calvo1002 Hey, I'm currently in training. I ran a marathon and a few half marathons to get into shape and I've done a few 110k+ bike races too. I'm slowly getting there but I have almost daily training in my volleyball academy so I still haven't done an Iron Man unfortunately. 🙂

I want to become an “Ironman” but am only 15…and I don’t really think they allow people below 18 for the race…3 more years left sadly.
