Because if Dallas' recommendation, I memorized Colossians 3:1-17 last year - it has been truly transformational! The process and especially the passage itself have allowed me to camp in one place in the Word, and have it change me.

Thanks for your comment. Your words encouraged me to use this as my verse for the year. Prayerfully, I will have the same testimony as you have in a year.

My jogging partner & I would memorize a verse every day when we would jog. I also would post a verse on my bathroom mirror. It's great to be able to pray verses back. During difficult times like when I was trapped in a car with a broken neck, the only thing that kept me from hysteria was praying & saying scripture back to myself. It's great for any day but a super great way to connect & remind yourself.

@BecomeNew , I send a little book of Bible Promises to friends or people struggling with health, loss of loved ones, challenges & just to make sure they have a book to run to , to settle their soul. I don't know how I would have ever made it through some of the most horrific life experiences if I didn't remember verses & prayers. I thank my belated little Granny for her encouragement to do just that!

I find that copying the verses by hand (with pencil and paper), in addition to the steps you mentioned here, helps a lot.

Thanks, Greg! Appreciate your feedback and we'll take it into consideration. The information about Become New at the end is mostly for new folks. We have many new viewers each week and it's helpful for them to know where they can go to find out more. It also serves as a reminder that our community is here to pray for folks who need it. We received 2,500 prayer requests last year as a team, I think that daily reminder/invitation is a big part of that. -tim

Thanks for listening Gayle here is the quote: Bucky Contrary to what we usually believe, the normal state of mind is chaos. Without training, and without an object in the external world that demands attention, people are unable to focus their thoughts for more than a few minutes at a time. When left alone, with no demands on attention, the basic disorder of the mind reveals itself. It begins to flow random patterns, usually stopping to consider something painful or disturbing."
