This video is a huge inspiration, there’s a lot great fighters that start boxing at a later age and you know not every body has the same path. You see very young fighters that fight since their 10 and you got great father a son duos and then you got guys like us that try to grind hard af. It’s never too late🔥

@@keysessoms Keynon, you have no clue how much it helps to see the story of a fighter who also, just like me has knee pain, i have tendonitis and few other things wrong with my left knee so even doing a squat is so painful. I feel like my genetics are always attacking me and i cant get no where in life because if physical problems but to see someone also dealing with it and made it pro, it gives me hope as a 15 year old MMA fighter. Im officially newly 3 months into training and found so much improvement, and after a week or two off due to abdominal issues, i will be back. And i will make it pro one day with the help of God. I hope you keep achieving man 💪 inspiration frl.

I'm 18 and have already screwed up my shoulder and pec trying to box without a real trainer or boxing gym(really hard to find beings that I live in the middle of nowhere several miles from the nearest town). I'm having to wait till insurance kicks in and I can finally get my injuries looked at, as well as moving to a bigger city with greater training options, so training right now is not an option for a while if I'm truly serious on going amateur then pro. It really motivates me to see another person trying to box with serious problems and still make it to pro.

I'm 18 now and I never had the confidence to start boxing even though I would always have loved to. I thought it didn't matter since I can't fight anyways because my eyesight is horrible. Now I've finally started training because while it may take a few years to afford the eye surgery I need, I still want to box. I hope I can get the surgery in 2 or 3 years, then I can finally do what I always dreamed of!

Im 30, did some boxing back when i was early 20s, had 1 fight and didnt take it seriously, no sparring or training camp, i didnt win but made it to the end of the fight based on stubborness to give up, and im thinking of getting back into it and doing some local stuff, so thankyou for confirming i am not too old! 😅

Thank you for making this video bro. It feels like such a specific circumstance and story, but as I can see from the comments: the kind of journey you're on is shared by many others (including myself). This is a great video for any aspiring boxer regardless of age. Even if you're not looking to be a world champion, it costs a lot of money to actually have a pro fight and it's not as easy as it seems. Being around a gym for a long time and training with professionals it seemed like not just a passion but a full time job, with plenty of overtime when it came time to sell tickets last minute while cutting weight. Plenty of fighters have a lot of talent but cannot afford to be the A-side or fail to receive the notoriety needed to attract management to keep them undefeated long enough to get linked with a promoter. It definitely takes a lot of guys and resilience to go through with a pro bout, especially after all the time off, kudos to you Kenyon!
@keysessoms

Well said for real! I think a lot of people believe that you can just get a certain amount of amateur fights, turn pro, and start making money and it just is not that simple. With the 14 years of being around the sport I've seen some of the most talented guys end up with bad pro careers because they were not moved right due to money and rushing the process. Thank you for commenting and tuning. Truly appreciate it.
