I'm 18 and have already screwed up my shoulder and pec trying to box without a real trainer or boxing gym(really hard to find beings that I live in the middle of nowhere several miles from the nearest town). I'm having to wait till insurance kicks in and I can finally get my injuries looked at, as well as moving to a bigger city with greater training options, so training right now is not an option for a while if I'm truly serious on going amateur then pro. It really motivates me to see another person trying to box with serious problems and still make it to pro.

I'm from India. I started boxing at the age of 20 or 21 and now i'm 22 with 1-1 amateur record. I left everythings for my boxing. One day I'll be a great Boxer.

This is a great video for any aspiring boxer regardless of age. Even if you're not looking to be a world champion, it costs a lot of money to actually have a pro fight and it's not as easy as it seems. Being around a gym for a long time and training with professionals it seemed like not just a passion but a full time job, with plenty of overtime when it came time to sell tickets last minute while cutting weight. Plenty of fighters have a lot of talent but cannot afford to be the A-side or fail to receive the notoriety needed to attract management to keep them undefeated long enough to get linked with a promoter. It definitely takes a lot of guys and resilience to go through with a pro bout, especially after all the time off, kudos to you Kenyon!

Well said for real! I think a lot of people believe that you can just get a certain amount of amateur fights, turn pro, and start making money and it just is not that simple. With the 14 years of being around the sport I've seen some of the most talented guys end up with bad pro careers because they were not moved right due to money and rushing the process. Thank you for commenting and tuning. Truly appreciate it.

Thank you. If you do not think you have a good trainer or a good boxing community around you, join my community. Second, I wouldn't go pro if you have been amateur for at least 3-4 years. Unless you have exceptional resources
