Consistency and dedication is key, i started boxing 5 months ago, i have not missed a day and i train like i have a fight, we spar with many other gyms 2-3 times a week and i always beat up on guys that have been boxing for 3 plus years sometimes 8 years, its not because im so much more talented than they are its because they are on and off, their lack of dedication and consistency is their downfall, i have surpassed so many of my teammates just by training hard, my advice is, if you really want to box, be all in, or dont be in it at all.

What advice would you give to someone who started boxing at 16 and takes it very seriously. I dropped out of school to persue a career as a pro boxer so I train 2 to 3 times per day but the country I am in does not have the best amateur boxing scene (we have nationals but it’s at a way lower level than nationals in America) I am however surrounded by other professionals in my gym that I always spar including a former world champion. Do you think it is possible to be a international high level pro without a crazy amateur background? I feel like I was made for this sport and I can make it but I just wanna see if u got any advice for me

You need to run a lot. Your cardio needs to be top tier. Run like 4-5 miles a day, and do like a long run for like 8-9 miles every two weeks. Make sure you’re still eating right and still lifting so you don’t sacrifice your strength for the conditioning. You will be able to will yourself to stay in a fight no matter how good your opponent is. Running for long distances also makes your chin/tolerance for punches to the head better.

There’s legends of the sport that started later than 16 so yea. Great age because you can get some fights and experience before u turn into a adult.
@keysessoms9 ай бұрын
At 16 you have so much time to develop and mature bro! Take your time stay dedicated and disciplined, just don't burn out. Have you ever asked the former world champions in your gym how they did, what steps you should take, and if you are made for the sport they should see it as well and try to connect you with people? Definitely keep going though bro! You can do anything you put your mind to no BS!

Hi there , i started boxing yesterday and plan on to train 6hrs a week (3 times a week ) . I was obviously the worst in the gym but i want to become skilled and above average . Is it normal to be bad at the start and will i overtake the boxers at the gym overtime?
@keysessoms6 ай бұрын
I dont know if you will overtake the boxers in the gym, but everyone started out not so good. If you stay committed and dedicated to the craft you will get better.

Hello! I came across this remarkable video that has truly captivated me. Since my college days, I've been immersed in the world of boxing, having joined the boxing club, and it has evolved into a cherished hobby. I was wondering if I could have your permission to use this video and provide Chinese subtitles for it. The intention is to share it on my channel, extending its reach to my friends and the Chinese audience. I'm convinced that these valuable insights will not only benefit us but also resonate well with a broader audience. Your generosity in sharing this knowledge is highly appreciated. Thank you!
@keysessoms9 ай бұрын
Thank you for that. I'm not 100% okay with you using this video on your page, but I am willing to get Chinese subtitles so that you can still share it.

Bro I’m 16 turning 17 in 4 months I’ve done boxing for 6 months but don’t know if I should go back before 18 to see if I can make serious money in the fight game wether bare knuckle or boxing do you think I realistically have enough to get to the level by 18 or 19 would still be possible to go pro in boxing at 19 or 18 cause also don’t want to invest so much time into nothing but Iam a believer what’s your thoughts 💭
