The Trio version of the finale seems superior, I assume it was composed later? Did Smetena even publish this Sonata? The lack of opus number suggests he might not have, and therefore felt it proper to re-appropriate this finale for the later Trio, perhaps? Either way - delighted to have heard this Sonata - Smetena is a continuous source of joy.

Wunderschöne Interpretation dieser romantischen und perfekt komponierten Klaviersonate im lebhaften Tempo mit klar artikuliertem doch zugleich anmutigem Anschlag und mit möglichst effektiver Dynamik. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und echt lyrisch. Wahrlich intelligenter und genialer Pianist!

He uses same rhythm for the section. After the section changes, the rhythm changes. So it's like a story.

Fantastic why is this sonata not famous? The repeated notes in the third mov. Seem Scarlatti. This sonata has the same qualities of Mendelssohn and Brahms why is it not famous?
