I used to own a CA Bedford. Just front seats, and a rattling back door. Did long trips rather slowly though. Thing is the rear cargo space was much better than all vans I have driven since. Doors open wide, and it is a true "box shape. Lacked a heater though.

Ahh the beauty of a front engine and rear wheel drive the ability to start an engine with the starting handle. I think the last cars to have that ability were Lada but not the last model. It still had the cog on the front of the engine and a hole in the bumper bar for the starting handle to go through but it had a change in the radiator and it blocked the path of the handle. Erm sorry erm I digressed a bit there, it’s an age thing you know but I’m harmless 😂

No way buddy, we owned it for around 5 years and had some great times in it.. it belonged to my wife,I gave it a new green paint job and gave it her for Christmas.. at the end she stopped using it so we sold it on to a chap in Southampton where it now has a new life.. cheers buddy

Dad was the transport manager at a small local brewery their vehicles were all green and they had a team of painters and decorators who travelled around all the pubs. They bought the Bedford to transport them and fitted a ladder rack on the top this was probably about 1970. Bass took over the brewery in 1972 and deployed these guys to paint everything brown (including the bus!) When they had finished about 1974 they scrapped it! At the time dad was looking at buying a new 7 seat Saab 95, the condition of the Bedford was so good that he decided to buy it for the scrap value of £45. We used it for a few years and my scout group went on various trips in it. Eventually my mother was working at a children's home and the manager bought it for £70 delivering a profit and a few years free motoring.

Worked at vauxhall Luton many years ago making these vans not an easy van to drive and prone to rust

Fabulous van John 👍 I bet you we’re well chuffed when that engine came to life , like the seating arrangement. Is this van a new addition or have you had it a while ?
