I shut down my computer every night and I thought everybody did the same (clearly I was so wrong) 😂😂😂 This video was actually very helpful because sometimes when I'm mostly worried or stressed about something it affects my sleep so it's nice to know some new tricks to use 💕💕

I really wish I was one of those people who can start their routine at 9 and go to bed at 10. I work until these hours so the earliest I can go to bed is 11 if lucky or midnight but most times it's even after that and I have to wake up at 6 or 7, too. So my sleep schedule is fucked because I have to take a nap during the day which usually lasts 3 hours. Last night I got to bed at 10 and fallen asleep at like midnight but I was fully awake at 4am so there goes nothing

Your lip color looks amazing!! Thank you for this video! protip: you can actually program your "do not disturb" to turn on and off at a certain hour every night! And the iPhone alarm app also has a function called Bedtime to remind you when to go to sleep (e.g. "I want to go to sleep at 11:30PM, remind me 45 minutes before.") They're super useful!

I watch youtube videos before i go to sleep. Always helps me unwind and relax. Priceline sold a relax spray of peppermint and eucalyptus. I need to find mine and get back into that. I need to develop a regular bedtime and wake up time. Thats my biggest downfall l think. Great tips. Thanks for a great channel 👌

laulauourga Same! I dont think it is good for the laptop battery to keep going on in the long run (even if you use "sleep" mode)

Exactly. Plus it helps me really end my work day. Otherwise I always end up thinking about something and coming back to my desk instead of relaxing and getting ready for bed.

Ha ha - I love cleaning AND writing lists! Nothing wrong with that Rachel! Deffo switch off appliances - they can cool down and 'rest'. Great ideas and I'm definitely going to do the alarm an hour before I go to bed. I'm going to try and have a proper routine. Thanks. 👍😄

Great video Rachlleea! I am super PASSIONATE about bedtime and morning routines and love to organize as well. Habit stacking is super helpful for me with regards to my PM routine. I find it helpful to plan on being home no later than 6:30pm so I can get my evening routine in during my working week, I all the weekends to be a bit later but I really miss my evening routine when I don't do it. Starting my essential oil diffuser an hour before to meditate in a calming aroma that soothes my brain is extra supportive.

How did you get your body to wake up at the same time every day?? Did you just set an alarm at a certain time till your body just got used to it and then you just woke up on your own? Or do you have any other tips for this because I would love my body to just be able to wake up at 5 30 every morning :)

Im not entirely sure, i think it was the fact the sun would wake me up at the same time everyday and then I just got used to it, but id say with an alarm eventually you'd get used to it as long as you were maybe going to bed at the same time everynight

I used to wake up at 6am everyday naturally. It started because I had set my alarm everyday at 6am for a while to take medication and i noticed overtime I started waking up everyday about a minute or 2 before the alarm would go off. I stopped using it and still continued to wake up, so maybe try that?

Omg I've been 're hauling my sleep routine and it's only day 4 now but are you a psychic? This video was wonderful 😭😭😭😭😭 I sleep at 11 or 11 30 and wake up at 6 am. I haven't kicked the habit of using phones before sleeping but hopefully I'll be able to.

Thank you so much for making this video Rachel. I have terrible bedtime routine, cos I just walked from my apartment to come to this internet cafe in Pitt St Sydney (2.00 am). I haven't always been like this and there is plenty of time for people like us to slip out of super organised ways. I had every 5 minutes measured and accounted for for years. I'm inspired and impressed by your presentation skill on how much better I can turn around my fucked up life to be, and it can be. Yes, I can change my life in one hour too. I hope some of this sinks in, since I am internet phobic despite having used computers all the time before. No I-phone either, and $ are not the issue. It all feels like smoke and mirrors, infinite screen photons. Ahh, but I got this far, halfway to a me I have felt forever, by my own stubborn efforts, alone - Brett (Zip)

I used to have the hardest time falling asleep. I'm basically a borderline insomniac. But I found that listening to sleep meditation videos actually helps me so much. I feel so weird not falling asleep to it anymore!

That points about a to do list is excellent. Great how you accent the fact we need to make adjustments when we feel overwhelmed on occasion. Being overwhelmed can happen at times despite a perfect routine and we may need to be flexible and kind to ourselves in doing what we can to mental compartmentalize tasks on our minds by writing them out. Excellent video :)

Lavender essential oil is amazing 👌🏼 I use lavender, cedarwood and easy air (to clear the airways) in my diffuser every night

I listen to a relaxing playlist of sleepy music. I also use the "Headspace" app for a small mediation session. I have anxiety so calming my brain down is critical. I read my devotion while continuing the relaxing music and go to bed. :)

Well, i live in the Netherlands and especially when it's hot outside (in summer) i like to shower twice a day, like not washing my hair, but like rinse of and feel clean too, so i think it is not obsessive... like you said, it's more like a ritual to rinse of "the day" :)

If you have an iPhone you can use the bedtime function of the alarm app. You can see when you want to wake up and set and alarm when you need to go to bed and still get enough sleep. You can set a reminder before you need to go to bed.

i've had a period where i had a hard time falling asleep. my doctor recommended getting up after about 30 min if you just cant sleep and do something boring. Like clean out your purse or something...

When I go to school I sleep at the most 8 hours, and when I have vacation I can easily sleep 14 😂 I'm also always happy in the morning and instantly awake. I also feel when I sleep less that I'm more productive that day!

I always turn my new computer now off, i usually walk my dog Sassy she very hyper dog so I go take her a walk just about every morning by 10 am if there no dogs or people at park usually no one there, but Ugh Always have trouble falling sleep by 10 pm some reason I end up being up at 2:30 this weekend am going start going bed earlier again by Sunday night and tips?

Rachel, just to let you know: You're involved with an MLM. "i will make a small percentage from each sale." and "affiliate links." These two things are associated with multi level marketing schemes. Essential oils are infamous for this. Look up stuff about it. I'm not sure if this will make a difference, but just think about it.

Its not multi level :) The brand gives a percentage of each sale made through my link to myself and rewardstyle, theres no one above or below me. I do understand what you are talking about and how MLM's work but rewardstyle isn't one of them :)

I was exactly the same. I never shut down my macbook but then the battery would just completely die. Had to replace it twice. Now i make it a habit to shut it down ahah

Drink chamomile tea at night before bed. Chamomile relaxes you and it makes you sleepy 😴

I shut down my computer cause it’s bad for the battery if you don’t, just like how it’s terrible to use the device while it’s charging

I shut down my computer every night AND every single evening when I'm coming home from school. Once my laptop broke down because I moved it when it was in sleep mode aka still working. Now it's hard NOT to shut it down every single time.
