So sad that many adults don't even do that. If a young child can be taught, certainly an adult should know to do that .

I am not going to speak for Jordan, but I've watched a lot of her videos. Whether she knows it or not...maybe it's intentional, maybe not...she aligns a lot with Montessori principles. So, if you want to check something out that is a systematic, you could look into it.

@goose7574

*Sara S* It definitely starts from the top AND goes down... I firmly believe it's a combination of not only what they are instilled with, while developing and growing up, but _also_ what they see with Mom and Dad (how they treat their partner, other people and the actual children). You basically have to practice what you preach, that's for sure.... And be patient. It takes practice, consistency, dedication, and... uhhhgain PATIENCE!!! And lastly, I think positive reinforcement is really important. It keeps things positive and that's key. There are always ways to say things to your children, even when you're upset ("disappointed"). Haha. ❤️

In light of current events... I think her kids have more than enough camera exposure. She’s doing a fantastic job and all of us would love to know more and see more from the kids but we need to respect privacy. The camera shouldn’t be another family member. It should remain an inanimate object for mommy’s projects. Moderation is key and in these times, it’s hard to moderate. So thanks Katie, but no thanks because you and I have good intentions-we never know what kind of creeper is lurking with other intentions.

I only have one child and he is 8, but we have been big fans of night time routine and set bedtime since he was a baby. It allowed me so much - time for self, time for extra work, time to go back to school to make better living later, time to spend with my spouse, and even time to go to sleep early myself. Yes on some night I am totally lame 😅

I have 2 and one with high functioning autism. A routine was key and it gave my husband and I time to spend time together or get stuff done around the house or just relax. I have a girlfriend who is going through a divorce that has 4 kids. I keep telling her how great things will be if the kid were on a routine. They've never been and number 3 starts kindergarten in the fall. They are up watching movies, eating, cooking, and doing nails at 2,3,4am. Then she's upset she doesn't have time to herself. I would love to help but I think id just waste my time. The oldest have chores but not set chores. So they get frustrated. I just wish I could help her.

Fabulous adults in the making and each one is an important part of their families team as they watch, take an active role and grow!! What a wonderful gift to them, it's not always the quickest way to get things done, or stress free but it's so good for the children in so many different ways. You both do such a fantastic job. Swaddling the twins, a must! Until I saw this video, I had forgotten how much swaddling saved my sanity when my twins were infants - 13 yrs ago. So simple but it really does work. The snugger the better. Great job Page family for effective leadership and a can do attitude. Love the prayer time before bed too!

I wasn't familiar with swaddling until I started taking care of a friend's baby and saw it done. It freaked me out at first, how tightly the mom wrapped her! (But she's a nurse, so I figured she knew what she was doing.) And she did. It worked like a charm! I was amazed. When I have to do it, I still have a hard time doing it so tightly. I'm always afraid I'm hurting them somehow. Plus, I imagine myself being restricted like that & I get a bit panicky. But that's just me, projecting. They seem to love it. Whatever works, right?

Major props to you momma! I look up to you so much and can’t wait to have my own family. I grew up in a household of 6 sisters. Our parents always kept us on routine with chores and helping each other and I’m so grateful for that. Not only did it teach me proper respect and manners that I’ve taken throughout my life but it kept my sisters and I so close. Priya helping the girls shower and do their hair just brought back some lovely memories. They’ll cherish each other forever. Thanks for sharing :)

This is a good example on how to raise capable kids. They will be just fine on their own, when in college or when they will have their own family. Loving your kids is not only "protect" them from everything, but most importantly giving them tools to be ready for life. And you do just that. I can tell you one more thing: your daughter-in-laws will loooove you for this :) My husband is the kind of man that does chores without being asked and without making a big fuss about it, and I get to thank my wonderful mother-in-law for that.

I would love to see more about how you start your kids with chores. My son is 2 and I love how amazing your kids are with taking on tasks and getting things done. But where do you start? How do you teach them? What are some age appropriate chores to start out with and when/how to you add more responsibility? We have gotten our son in the habit of cleaning up any toys he takes out and plays with but what else?

I actually started with my oldest at 2 .and yes start with toy cleaning then making their own bed .even thoe they leave it messy just teach them little by little they will get it .also clothes .throwing it in the wash .they already throw things so why not throw clothes inside the washer lol .pick up anything they see on the floor pick it up .trash ,books ,bags. Dusting also have a rag specially for him again it might not get clean but atleast he is starting lol

I have to say having a routine is the best way to get things done. I work with 10 toddlers and having them on a routine/schedule just makes the day a lot better and easier.

Its definitely possible the key is day 1 have a bedtime routine but you can do it anytime. Consistency is key. If they get up you put them right back. No water, no extra stories, no snacks no chit chat. Straight to bed every single time they get up. Stick with it they will sleep in their bed. My oldest with autism took 2 weeks and a million tantrums. Each night got better. My youngest never slept in my bed and always had routine. You can do it!!! Every parent can!!!

OR.. just lay down with them until they fall asleep :) as long as you have enough parents for kids bedrooms, or you one after the other, or you go all in the big bed and let them fall asleep there and carry to their beds, or you just cosleep :) many beautiful ways to do this

More than possible. My two year old gets in her bed, we say her prayers, give kisses and she’s out. We don’t have any problems. But it’s the only routine she knows so it no problems.

What😳 hahaha that's pretty normal if mines get out of bed they are going to be grounded first time in the morning while I cook breakfast🤣 then explain again that he is not supposed to get out of bed and if he needed to get out of bed it has to be just to go to the bathroom.

Ha ha. Hang in there It gets easier. I have two too and what has help me is the 4 B's ( Bathe, Brush teeth, Book and Bed) and keeping it consistent. I made them tell it me. I have a toddler and no more fuss to go to bed. She knew the order and didnt fight it after about 3 WEEKS but I just had to be consistent especially when it so easy to give in. 9 year old was and is still a great sleeper no fuss but the 3 year old oh man.
