We also reward our kids, and we have 2 adult children who quickly got promoted because they know how to work. Also, they learned to manage their money.

I’ve seen so many reels of parents trying to teach kids to be more independent and educated in ‘adult’ aspects such as finances on Instagram and they have received a lot of hate because it’s considered “taking away a child’s childhood”. The truth is, these skills that are crucial in adulthood don’t just magically ‘become’ in adulthood. Sure, there are people who are naturally smarter with their financies but most struggle when it comes to mortgage, bills etc, and it’ll only get worse in this economy. There is nothing wrong with introducing concepts and then building on it so they don’t struggle as “broke teens” into “broke adults”. And it’s not just finances but higher level decision making/executive functioning in general. Truth is, this takes discipline and most parents would rather take the easy route than see it through to success, and that’s where the hate comes from.

For the wooden bag & foil organisers - add some rubber feet to the bottom, they won’t move around in the drawer anymore!

Costco is great overall. But their fruit goes bad super fast. Furniture is over priced. It's great but you need to make a plan of you agent supplying a large family or small army. Single people need to be getting gas, carwash, then follow a shopping list.

Hi Jordan, I'm watching Roku right now and the show extreme cheapskates came on and there you are a young Jordan page. It's really amazing how long you have been budgeting and saving and being frugal. I have to ask, have you finally let the family members use more than four sheets of toilet paper Per day? It would be kind of cold if you throw it back moment from that time in your life and then where you're at now and how things have changed as you have grown and learned more

These kids are more aware of how the real word and adulthood is, than most adults. Priya is 12yr and she's already referencing taxes when you're an adult! Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!

If you had any self awareness, you should delete your channel Jordan. You no longer have the freeness of speech in giving others advice with anything family related, when you can't even keep your own family together. I know my comment will be deleted (because you're a coward) but at least I know you read this. Have a great day

Great kidos. I agree it's important to teach them how to survive in the world. They will need to learn how to wash their clothes and make a meal and clean a house and manage money. These are life skills. The best time to learn them is in childhood. They can still enjoy being kids. Even little ones enjoy being productive and appreciated for their contribution. Good job preparing your children for life. You won't always be there. They need to know they are capable. It gives them confidence.

Learning how to follow a recipe is very important. Funny story. My daughter and her friend made cookies from a cookbook. After the cookies were done the girls told me that the recipe was weird because it said you could use 1 or 2 cups of oil, so they choose 1 cup. It was actually 1/2 cup. The cookies turned out fine but that was a learning experience for them.

THIS! Jordan, my kids watch your kids on Ninja Kids and they were so excited to see kids they knew on one of the YTer's I watch. They sat through and soaked in the entire thing - at the end said "I LOVED it!". It was nice for them to hear things I say to them come out of other kids mouths that they look up to. There is such a cook opportunity here. I say - MORE COLLABS WITH YOUR KIDS!

My parents did not teach us anything about money., bills, taxes, or saving. Now, as an adult, have money issues. My parents would often 'scold' me about how I spent my money (in my 20's and 30's) and thinking back now, I'm like, I was never told how to save or spend! I've learned a lot, but your kids already know way more than I do. Parents!! Listen up and teach your kids these skills!!
