I don't agree that this isn't pretty wonderful. There is obviously a problem with the mix and I would say from his posture and movement it is clear Barry is in great pain and can barely stand due to his arthritic back. BUT, he still brings the emotion. His vision of the song is very much there. Mo and Rob are rock solid and enjoying themselves and again, in the emotion of the moment. Look at that smile on Rob's face at the end, it is not for the audience, it is because they have enjoyed and been creative on the 2,000'th time they have sung the song. I think they have all mentioned at one time or another this is one of their personal favorites.

@@judycoplon405 how fortunate you were to see them live especially being their last concert all together. What a shame that only Barry is left. R.I.P. dear brother's Gibb. Our heart's are broken that you are no longer with us physically but your spirit is alive in all of our heart's and soul's. Your music will live on for all eternity for generations to come. Year's from now generations will be blown away with your music. You truly were the best songwriter's and singer's of all time's.. what a legacy you all have left. Your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren generations from now should all be so proud of you. Your family should be remembered also for all the love and the role model they gave us. Family is thicker than water.God bless the Gibb's

It's Maurice who does the high part in the chorus and it isn't a female voice it is called falsetto. Barry, of course, also uses falsetto during the ad libs

@@susanmills3562 I've often wondered if that didn't have something to do with singing less leads for him, too. I know his autopsy diagnosed him with emphysema. On this song, though, I don't hear any difference. This song was done well by all of them.

I don't want to sound overly critical--but they don't sound very inspired here. Not their best performance.
@epicmeade6 жыл бұрын
Sadly, this turned out to be their last concert performance. I was at this show, but only realized recently that this turned out to their final show, although I'm sure they probably had no idea at the time, or, as you mentioned, they probably would have tried to put on a more inspired performance. I'm also pretty sure that they wouldn't have chosen a promotional show for a local LA radio station had they known it was going to be their last gig ever.
@ryanhunter1306 жыл бұрын
I love them, and they have brought so much joy into my life....so I don't mean to beat them up. Even the best watch in the world misses a beat every now and again.....I'm absolutely sure if they had known this would be the last performance it would have been a special performance!

Barry looked very tired, and sounded hoarse. I imagine all of the concerts they did leading up to this was enough to wear him out.

@@christyalice7269 What concerts. They didn’t they didn’t do any tours for this album. They just did performances on talk shows. This is literally the only concert and when they did the live by request that’s it. They sounded like shit and the BG fans just need to deal with it
