Many people make the mistake of only thinking of the BeeGees disco music. They were making incredible music years before Saturday Night Fever.

Yep and as an Aussie where they first plied their trade here and Spicks and Specks went to number 1 in early 1966 and after that it was all history. Australia was a big factor in the Bee Gees from learning the industry first here, then arriving in England late 1966 and hitching up with 2 other Aussies Vince Melouney from Billy Thorpe and the the Aztecs on guitar and child movie actor from (the Smiley movies) Colin Petersen on drums to officially join the Bee Gees. Then meeting another Australian (NEMS/The Beatles) music producer Robert Stigwood later creating (R.S.O). The only other person to officially join the Bee Gees was another Aussie called Geoff Bridgford on drums during the early 1970s.

In late 1967 I found myself in the army and doing Basic Training at Fort Dix, NJ. Most of the guys in my platoon were from Mass. Late one night, we were getting ready to get into our bunks for our 4 or 5 hours sleep; someone had a little transistor playing and this song came on. The room just froze. I looked around and there wasn't a dry eye in the place, the song sounded more beautiful than I'd ever heard it before or since. @@larydixon4824 That’s an interesting concept... Although I like to think that those should come naturally from the way the sentence is structured. Also I think for a majority of us web users that don’t know this way of writing or are not familiar with the nuances that come from putting emphasis on certain words, this might be confusing... You may want to keep your writing format simple when commenting on public platforms to reach broader audiences, and since your name appears on the comment signing it at the end of the comment is redundant. Just a little remark from me, I hope you will not take offense from it.

They'll never be another voice like Robin Gibb. And Maurice was the Bee Gees secret weapon, responsible for a lot of those orchestral arrangements. This is absolutely gorgeous, oh how I miss those guys!

I know they all contributed in every category of the making of a song but it seemed like Maurice's voice is the least used. Not being a true artist, I would have been so jealous of my brothers........... Thankfully, Maurice was a better man than I am.

Maurice had arranged orchestral music for other artists as well, including Ringo Starr on his Sentimental Journey album.
