He wrote this song for his wife, Yvonne, about his long battle with alcoholism, acknowledging the pain she suffered because of his struggle. He was winning (alcoholics will never say that the battle is totally won) and was healthy and sober when he died, which is so sad.

if he hadn't died so early we would have heard a lot more good songs by him and with his voice ... maybe he would have worked more as a lead singer and his personality would have grown even more ... in the last few years he has fun one stage and with audience...he was himself and I' m very sad about this...i love and miss him forever and forever in my heart...❤😘😘
