OK, they were in the bay @ their South Beach, Miami, Florida, homes. They each had a beach front home there because it reminded them of Australia. In fact, Barry is still there AND still greets fans at the gate. Barry and Robin lived side by side and Mo was a few doors down when he couldn't get right next door. The video you saw of Robin was with his oldest son, Spencer, in England since he wanted his kids to grow up and be schooled there. You also saw a picture of him with his first wife, Molly. They divorced in 1980 and it was VERY hard on him. He also has a daughter, Melissa, with Holly.. Later, he married Dwina and they had a son, Robin Jr, or RJ. There is also talk that he had an affair and a daughter, Snow Gibb, was born in 2008 but that was kept on the DL. He did buy her and the mother a home and left the child a little over 6 million dollars. Robin and his wife were said to have an "open marriage." The dog playing fetch in the water was Robin's Irish Setter AND the reason Robin had red hair for a while - in order to match his dog! 😊 You saw Barry's wife, Linda, in the bikini. They have 5 kids - Stephen, Ashley, Michael (named after MichaelJackson and MJ is his God Father), and Travis. His youngest is a girl Alexandra (Ali). She was born very, very prematurely and nearly didn't make it. It was also at the same time Barry had his back surgery, so poor Linda had both of them in the hospital at the same time! BTW, Linda was Miss Edinburgh (Scotland) and was a "host" on Top of The Pops as a beauty queen the same night the Bee Gee's appeared AND found out that Massachusetts had just hit #1 - their 1st!! *They married on Barry's birthday - September 1st. (Another fun fact: Maurice ALSO had to have back surgery before Barry AND it turns out he was born with 1 less lumbar vertebrae whereas Robin had 1 too many! - So, Mo always accused Robin of stealing his! 🤣) You saw Mo's wife, Yvonne too. They had two kids - Adam & Samantha (Sam - who has a band of her own. Robin's son, Spencer, is a musician, too, as Stephen, Barry's son - jungle boy, is as well). Stephen Gibb played with the Bee Gee's, on Barry's solo album AND the Mythology tour. The guys did NOT have a younger sister. Their neice, Bernice, by their only sister Leslie (the oldest of the Gibb kids), came to stay with Uncle Hugh and Aunt Barbara when Andy was young because he was in the house all alone AND Leslie had NINE kids of her own. After a while, Andy started referring to her as his "sister" and calling her "Berry". Her mom, (older sister, Leslie) sang WITH the Bee Gee's only a few times during the time when Robin left the group. * I think this is as much as I can do for the Gibb EPIC for one night! Sorry you asked??? LOL 🤣

Mo said in an interview, that when they were small kids Barry said they were going to be famous and go to America and buy 3 houses next door to each other. Mo smiled his lovely smiled and said we just thought sure, whatever you say. You are the big brother.

An older sister Lesley still lives in Australia where she has a boarding kennel and a flock of kids (seven). She replaced Robin briefly when Robin split. Barry - Steven, Alexandria, Ashley, Travis and Michael. Maurice - Adam and Samantha. Robin - Spencer, Melissa, RJ (Robin John) and Snow Evelyn. Andy - Peta. Robin and his favorite green pants that Barry always made fun of @3:01. Mo and Barry stayed in Miami but Robin returned to Thame, Oxfordshire because he wanted his kids brought up in England and he preferred the lifestyle there. When they lived in luxurious mansions in Miami it was far from their impoverished childhood when they often got evicted or simply left before the landlord showed up for the rent. The boys supported the family from a young age. They worked hard and deserved their eventual success.

I asked Lesley to tell me a little about her daughter who grew up witnessing the spotlight shining on her harmonious uncles. Bernice was her birth name and she criss-crossed the world in the company of her extended family. Berry as she came to be known, was born in Sydney in 1964 and when she was just three years old, she and her grandparents and her uncles Barry, Maurice and Robin sailed to England. Berry grew up calling her grandparents mum and dad, as did all the family. Maternal grandparents Barbara and Hughie adored Berry and when America beckoned for the Bee Gees, the family all moved to Los Angeles. Berry was 12 and had her own performing aspirations. She attended the Debbie Reynolds School of Arts and wanted to be an actress. Her mum Lesley said she was a very good dancer. Around the age of 18, Berry was on the verge of leaving America until her grandparents took the unusual step of adopting her so that she could stay and pursue her career. Meanwhile her younger uncle Andy was performing more frequently in Las Vegas and the family eventually moved to Nevada. Berry met a young Marine called Chino and fell in love. And that’s where they lived happily for the last 31 years. Content with each other and their great danes. Until last Thursday when tragedy struck. Lesley says losing her daughter doesn’t feel real. She said it reminds her of when Andy died. “That killed me,” she says. “I used to pretend he was still on tour. He would call me in the middle of the night and we’d talk. “Because we lived apart, it was easier to pretend.” Lesley is coping with her daughter’s sudden death by doing the same. “I don’t know what else we can do,” she sighs. “I’m ok. I just try not to think too much.” “Berry loved music. She loved her dogs. She was happy. Berry died from heart attack in April this year shortly after having her 2nd COVID jab. Her husband Chino found her dead in bed with her beloved dog beside her. Another tragic loss Barry had to deal with. Lesley has eight other children.

This was taken at Miami, and the house we saw was/is Barry's. The twins also had homes there, and it may be that Maurice's widow still lives there. We are also seeing some of their children when they were young. The little guy in the red swim trunks is Barry's oldest, Stephen. I think the little guy that Robin had on the pony was his oldest, Spencer. Interesting story about Stephen. I went to see the boys in St. Louis, in 1979, on the tour to support the Spirits Having Flown album. They often took their families on tour with them, and at one point during the concert little Stephen decided he wanted to come out to give Daddy a hug. Well, he barely got onto the stage when he hesrs 65,000 people all calling out his name, and he immediately broke into tears and ran back off stage. His dad and uncles tried to get him to come back out, but he was apparently having none of it. These days, Stephen Gibb is a big burly guy with a long beard and lots of tattoos. He is in the family business, and has some recognition as a session musician, playing a darned good guitar in the heavy metal genre. When Barry went out on a solo tour in 2014, Stephen and Maurice's daughter Samantha were on stage with him. Both of Robin's boys are in the business as well.

To continue my comment, Barry lives on Biscayne bay in Miami Beach….he said the sky --it reminded him of Australia. Barry has 5 kids ( 4 boys and 1girl) and 8 grandchildren. Of course they have not all been born when this was made. Robin had a boy and a girl with his 1st wife Molly, shown in this video. He later had another boy with his second wife, Dwina. Maurice and his wife Evonne on the boat with their son Adam, ( where he was smooching her) he also had a little girl later. That was Barry was sitting on a limb with his eldest son Steven (you referenced the jungle book😉). Yes, Andy was with them playing volleyball on the beach. He snd Barry used to play tennis together too. They have an “older” sister named Leslie who sang with Barry snd Maurice when Robin left the group for about 18 months. She still lives in Australia and is a dog breeder with her husband and has 8 children. In order of birth: Leslie, Barry ( will be 75 on the 1st of September 2021), ( also his anniversary with Linda 51 years), Robin, Maurice ( twins but Robin was born 1st), then Andy. Andy was born in ‘58 and was only a couple months old when they immigrated to Australia.

I love this song and its bossa nova beat. Layers of voices and instrumentation are added progressively, and it feels like a choir of angels at the end. Herbie Mann is playing the flute on this one. It's ethereal and yes, I feel like I'm flying. "I am your hurricane, your fire in the Sun" So good. On the studio version Barry counts down the beat. The percussion starts, and he says "Oh Yeah, like even he can't believe the groove. Others have filled you in on the families. The little boys in the kiddie car on Barry's tennis court are his sons Stephen and Ashley. Mo's son Adam is in the boat. It's Robin's son Spencer on the pony. These pictures were from about 1979, so several of the kids had not arrived yet. Thank you for this. I have the Spirits album on my playlist, working from home. As much as I love the big hits, I always stop and pay attention to this one.

Love the video of all of them and their families. However, it shadows and pleasantly distracts from the song. Spirits Having Flown is beautifully written and the melody so smooth. It is one of my favorites....well, I actually have many favorites of their music! Chad, your honest commentary was cracking me up! When I first saw this video I thought of the Jungle Book too! In all seriousness, it is easy to see how close they were as a family and how devastating it must have been to lose Andy at a young age. The setting & video clips are in Miami Fl. at either Mo’s or Barry’s house. The beach I’m sure is their private beach since Mo & Barry lived side beside & Robin had a house there too but not at that time I don’t think, his wife Molly refused to move to U.S. with him. That is Mo’s wife Yvonne & son Adam in the Boat with him. That’s Barry!s wife Linda in the bikini & the two little boys riding little car are Barry’s, I think Steven & Ashley. And the little boy sitting on the log with Barry is Steven. And Andy spent a lot of time at Barry’s home with all of his Family in Miami. And yes and no, they have a younger sister/niece that was Leslie’s oldest daughter that Hugh & Barbara ( Parents) helped raise and the boys always considered her their sister too, she is around Andy’s age. She is on the Gibb Collective Album, her name is Berry Gibb-Rhoades.

Barry has 5 kids (4 boys and girl) and grandchildren,....Maurice had 2 kids (1 boy and 1 girl) and grandchildren,.... Robin had 4 kids (2 boys and 2 girls) and grandchildren and Andy had 1 child...(a girl) and grandchildren. In Barry's Mythology tours his son Stephen ( who plays hard rock) tours with him and plays backup guitar....and I think his son Ashley helps out in some way too....a d Maurice's daughter Samantha sings with Barry on some songs. There is an album called Gibb Collective on which all of the children of the Beegees sing a song their fathers sang that mean something special to them...you should check it out

Seeing this video of the Gibb brothers with their families reminds me of something their mother, Barbara, said about their spouses. The interview took place, I believe, in the late 90’s. She said, in essence, that Maurice, Robin, and Barry had each married the perfect woman for them in Yvonne, Dwina, and Linda. How beautiful that she would think that and say that about her daughters-in-law.

I was watching my favorite soccer talk show when the notification for this video popped up. In my head I screamed, "He's doing it! He's doing it!" and immediately switched channels. Lesley was an older sister; 2 years older than Barry she lived in Australia and had a huge family. Mo and Barry decided it was probably 8 'if she wasn't expecting again', in one interview. Barry had 4 boys and a daughter last - the reverse of his parents. Robin had 3 children and Maurice had two. Ten children between them. Older sister Leslie. Oldest of the bunch. Then Barry, Robin, Maurice (35 minutes after robin), then Andy. Ironically, they all passed away in the exact opposite order and Barry and Leslie are still with us Barry has 4 boys and a girl Robin had two kids with his first marriage and one with his second marriage. But also has a child with the housekeeper named Snow Juliet who Barry continues to help support Maurice had 2, a boy and a girl Adam and Samantha (Samantha is a performer with a great voice!)
