The reason they harmonize so well is because they are brothers, and of course all very talented. There is something magical about family harmony that often shows up and shines when the singers are family members. And don't feel bad about not liking it, because I appreciate your honest reaction! As a musician and music lover my whole life, sometimes there is just something about a voice that rubs us the wrong way. It happens to all of us, including me. If you're bothered with their high voices look up the live 1989 Melbourne concert medley. They sang this very song in their regular voices and it's just wonderful. Maybe this will change your opinion of one of the Bee Gees most beautiful songs ever.

They're singing in falsetto, which is an easier approach to singing very high than belting, most average people can do the high falsetto thing with their voice where it's all in the throat, but to control it the way they do is still an art.

They wrote all their music, wrote many hits for hundreds of top well known artist in all genres, produced their music, had hits in four decades. There is nothing like them today, frankly IMHO the Great Beatles take a back seat to these Brothers. I grew up with this great group & had a lot of their albums. Most people react to their disco era. My favorites are from the 60's-70's. Hello, I grew up with the Bee Gees when they made their start in Australia, but as a young man I preferred the live rock scene to disco and the Bee Gees were definitely disco. However. As I grew older I slowly and steadily began to appreciate their astonishing talent. Funnily enough I can agree with you both.

They are the best falsetto singers. They can sing in their normal voice, and do in some songs. Professional vocal coaches praise them. In most cases it’s young men who don’t like this type song, because it’s not “manly”. But everyone is encouraged to have their opinion, even when it’s wrong 😂

Barry "discovered" his falsetto with the song "Nights on Broadway". There is a video from "The Midnight Special" where Maurice is actually singing the falsetto, but Barry sang it on the recording. They could all sing falsetto but is was usually Barry, but he has a deeper singing voice also. Proceeds from this record when to UNICEF. Song was released in 1978.
