Damn right... REAL MUSIC!!! Real talent ! No auto tune. Todays music doesn't require much talent!

They were my go to on the 60s and all the way through 2000s…..you should research some more of their songs. They had boatloads of # 1s and wrote and sang all their own music and wrote for other big artists. Listen to TRAGEDY, ONE, just endless amount of superb music. Back then no autotune, and all the rest, just pure talent..

Love their music and voices! They wrote over 1000 songs, some for themselves and some for other popular artists of the times like Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Dianna Ross, Dionne Warwick, Barbra Streisand, Olivia Newton John, Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Pardon just to name a few!

These guys could actually sing. Wonderful voices with NO AUTOTUNE.

Isn't it sad? During the last half of the millennium, right up to the late eighties, no such thing as Auto tune was invented or used. Singers back then could harness their diaphragm properly along with their stomach muscles to belt out notes above and beyond normal capabilities. Today, you don't see any singer practice sounds or notes before a concert or during a studio recording. ABBA was another group who used to practice voice ranges before a performance as a sort of check system to make sure they can hold their voices true and clear. Singers now, they rely on the basics. No practicing, no voice level checking, and using auto tune to help their ranges which to me seems like its a cheat rather than a brief work out. It's all about the money now. Nothing more, and nothing less. They don't sing for the audience any more. They don't sing period without the help of a machine. The only group which are a duo that I can tolerate although they hardly sing during their act is Daft Punk. At least they're using a machine which works for them because it's what the audience knows as fact. They keep it cyberpunk all the way. Other singers and groups that use auto tune just tells me they're lazy ass punks who need some serious singing lessons. Fun fact. Auto tune was first used in a music video to give a female singer a boost to her voice because her vocal chords were becoming irritated. Mostly it was because of her age. It was Cher with her hit single -- Do you believe in love. Which by the way won her the only Grammy in her career. All because of a machine.

I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978. This song would have been in my wedding. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 68 yrs. old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of failing health. Some reports say kidney cancer. Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, (not pictured) had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs. younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. He lived a lifestyle involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers and Andy wrote all of his songs. Barry (middle) stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2023, he and his wife Linda celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.) On a sidenote, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who was 78, January 12, 2023. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. They wrote all of their own songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. He's the amazing thing, they could not read musical notes. This meant they were also awesome musicians and just played by ear. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: Staying Alive kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5DMq6l3l814rrs For Whom the Bells Toll kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWa7mHSngrGFZ5Y Spirits (Having Flown) kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXnCm2xmm6h8oZY Closer Than Close kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2e7epegeq1_iNU One kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYO4loCdr7R2edE You Win Again kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYu8aqKPiLidfKs Bodyguard kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKmYiap_gKimadE Emotion (written for Samantha Sang) kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJDahY2gpJ6UsM0 (Destiny Child's cover has too much drama. But Barry liked it.) Our Love (Don't Throw It All Away) Andy Gibb kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3mZaWl6rt5kbNk At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them, for others, were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2. They have sold more than 220 million records worldwide (I'm quite sure more by now.) Their musical inspirations are Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons; Russell Thompkins, Jr (Stylistics) William Hart, Jr (Delfonics) Brian Wilson (Beach Boys). I'm quite sure there are others, but these names are mentioned in several videos.

That was the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra backing them up. They donated the royalties to this song to UNICEF...close to 15 million so far! If you haven't heard them, try 'Nights On Broadway' (rockin'!), and 'How Deep Is Your Love' for a sample of their lower voices.

An absolute masterpiece by the incomparable Brothers Gibb, kings of harmony. P.S. Sir Barry Gibb will be one of The Kennedy Center honorees on December 3 along with Queen Latifa and Dionne Warwick--long overdue--he & his wife Linda emigrated from England to Miami over 50 yesrs ago & became U.S. citizens. RIP Andy, Maurice, & Robin. ❤❤❤❤

They were so. so smooth as they sang to the ladies. They wrote over 1000 songs from the 60s to 2001. Barry (the lead singer, taller, and older brother) is the only one still living. He's a legend and a multinational treasure.

Love your Bee Gee reactions I’m not sure if you’ve reacted to any of these, but here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: just disregard the ones you’ve already done. Too Much Heaven (R&B) How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard) Staying Alive (disco) Night Fever (disco) You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco) Fanny be tender with my love (R&B) Jive Talking (R&B) Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk) Tragedy (Techno? Pop) More than a woman (Disco/R&B) Love you inside out (Funk/pop) To love somebody (R&B) Massachusetts (pop/country) Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special) Alone (pop) Love So Right (R&B) Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour) Lonely Days (pop) You Win Again (pop) Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B) Kiss of Life (rock) One (pop) Wedding Day (pop) Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country) Bodyguard (R&B) Blue Island - live (pop) Our Love, Don't Throw it all away-Bee Gee's or Andy's version (pop) Secret Love (pop) This is Where I Came in (live) (pop) The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor) If you want to see them (the Bee Gees) and how they work in the studio try: (A) the making of their song "Tragedy" from 1979 (B) The making of the song "Just in Case" (C) The making of the video "This is Where I Came in" from their last cd in 2001 Some that only the avid Bee Gee fans might know that you might want to react to: My Lover’s Prayer (pop ballard) Letting Go (pop ballard) Subway (R&B) You Stepped Into My life (Funk/r&b) Children of the World (pop) Search, Find (pop or R&B) Songs written by Barry Gibb (that other artists sung), alone or with his brothers (Robin &!Maurice Gibb): If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman) Woman in Love ( Barbra Streisand). In fact, Gibb wrote every song on her Guilty CD, and did 2 duets with her. And he did most of the background vocals on a lot of the songs. Islands in the Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Partons). In fact, Barry wrote all the songs on Kenny's "Eyes that See in the Dark" CD Heartbreaker (Deion Warwick). In fact, Barry wrote every song on this CD too. The Bee Gees also did the Background vocals. Chain Reaction (Diana Ross) and yes, Barry wrote all the songs on this CD too. Barry also did the background vocals. Immortality (Celine Dion) The Bee Gees also sung background. The live 1997 from Vegas is excellent! More Than a Woman (Tavares) Love Me (Yvonne Elliman) Come on Over (Olivia Newton John) Emotions (Samantha Sang, with a lot of background vocals with Barry). Destiny's Child also recorded it. Grease--from the movie (Frankie Valli) Heart Beating in Time (Leo Sayer) Let me wake up in your arms (Lulu), who use to be married to Maurice Gibb A lot of Andy Gibb songs (Shadow Dancing, Everlasting Love, Love is Thicker than Water, Our Love, Don't Throw It Away; Desire;)

We need to be honest.. No one today can even come close to the music back in the day...We had music made of love and you really needed to be able to actually Sing..What they have pit today is junk..Filled with drugs, hatred and killing..Groups today are gang members n can't sing..They go into studios n pit everything into a machine..One of the reasons ( in my opinion) that there is alot of violence today is because of the so called music of today.. Thanks for ur reaction...

Sir Barry is now 77 years old. His mother said he would carry around a ring for every girlfriend. Robin liked to set fires and was the most 'active' of the brothers. Maurice was quiet. There are silent home videos of them. You don't see Maurice because he was filming everything.
