Chad, perfect reaction by you. I couldn't have said it any better myself. I love all facets of their singing and songwriting but I'm just a ballad girl at heart and I think that most fans that love their ballads like I do would agree with me that Robin wins that contest hands down. That being said, there's nothing better than the three brothers singing perfect harmonies together. It just don't get any better than that!

Hello Chad. Barry sand 18 parts of Too much heavien. Basically he did all the song. Lol Alby Galuthen ( the Producer ) mentioned it. Barry Gibb falsetto gave the Bee Gees a breath of fresh air. Don't get me wrong, I love Robin and Maurice, but we have to admit, after 1975 Barry Gibb was just incredible. From 1975 to 1980 the Bee Gees were everywhere in the charts. In 1978 Barry Gibb wrote eight number one songs. That is just incredible. In 1978 the brothers Gibb add 39 songs out of the 52 weeks at number one. That's including Andy Gibb, Yvonne Elliman, and Frankie Valli. That's how amazing the brothers Gibb are And to prove it wasn't just luck, they had another tree number one songs with the next CD spirits having flown. They're the only group in rock history to have written produce and sing six number one songs in a row. Not even the Beatles did that. For me, and I'm not the only one who said that, Barry Gibb is the best songwriter of all times. God bless you and take care.

@@susieq9801 Barry Gibb wrote for Andy and Frankie Valli. I know there's a lot of songs that were written by all three of them. But let's be serious for 2 minutes. In the early Bee Gees Robin Gibb was a better singer in their young days. But after 1975, when Barry Gibb discover the falsetto, the Bee Gees became extraordinary. In the song Too Much heaven, Barry Gibb did by himself 18 parts of the song. Alby Galuthen said it himself. I love all three of them, but Barry Gibb stands out. That's my opinion. I respect yours.

This sounds like Night Fever which was still a more of the disco/falsetto featuring Barry. You're right about the twins they had a sound that can't be duplicated. If the twins were the Bee Gees they would have been just as talented and famous. I love the richness in their voices that you can hear on the Kiss of Life song. For me Barry's falsetto was way over done and I sometimes have a difficult time hearing what he's saying. That's just me. I know that they wrote this song, but the best version, by far, of this was easily Melba Moore's version. It sounds way better with a strong funky bassline, full drums and percussion, and a smooth soulful female voice rather than a strained male falsetto voice. Melba Moore was tearing up the Nightclubs//Disco's with her version back in the day. In fact I never even knew there was a Bee Gees version until only recently (it never got played at the time...that's how dominant Melba's version was).

Got to remember that their producer was not able to produce this album with them. They produced this album themselves. For the most part they did a pretty good job! But you can see with some of the songs on the album that they definitely needed a professional to help them out. This song is definitely worthy of the B side. This song was sampled from the musical part quite a bit back in the 70s. When you compare this song to their classic hits, it is not in that league. However it fit perfectly in with the sound of 1976. It was not released as a single. I think it was on the B side of YSBD. It was a good album cut.

I LOVE Robin's voice and Maurice's contributions to their excellence. I don't know what was going on with the brothers during the making of this particular track, but I trust that it wasn' a lapse in judgment on Barry's part. I don't mean to sound deaf to any criticism of my idols, but I'm willing to bet that there were some other factors present. Just my opinion and maybe some ESP going on here.

I've really been missing Mo lately. I watch the 14 part Gibb Collective answering questions and of course they all talked about their fathers. @@giannafrancis5176 You're welcome, I'm glad that you enjoyed the question and answers with the Gibb Collective. You know I thought the same thing about Barry being basically a baby and in the hospital away from his family. He did not speak until he was 3 years old. I remember in an interview he was talking about his life in Australia and how he always had to have a girlfriend that's where the Ring Thing came in. He was very possessive and consequently being dumped regularly. I think that attitude could very well be caused by separation anxiety he may have had while in the hospital in obviously a lot of pain. I think Linda deserves a lot of credit for taking this Madchild and turning him into a great husband and an awesome father. She kind of laid down the rules and would not allow drugs in the house. Barry commented in an interview that if he brought them in she flushed them down the toilet. All the Gibb's wives were incredibly special women. Back to missing Moe, I really gained a huge amount of respect for him going through rehab like he did. One never conquerors alcoholism but he did The next best thing and that was he stayed clean and sober. What an awesome individual. Mo was so very talented, and when you listen to the songs that Chad is playing , those intros that are so phenomenal and the music throughout the songs Can be contributed to Mo's incredible Talent with the keyboard. Before I get rocks thrown at me, all the guys were great in coming up with the melody and the sound. Mo just could do all that Extra above the melody. I am and always have been a huge Barry fan, but there is such a warm soft spot in my heart for Mo and there always will be. With the loss of Mo the Bee Gees ended.

@@katie-didellis2437 I saw Barry speak about never wanting to be alone. There are so many interviews out there, I can't remember which one. He said there was a time when they moved from the Isle of Man to Manchester for his Dad to hopefully find work. His Mom took the twins and Lesley with her to her sister's house to stay. Barry had to go with his Dad. He was a child and said he was alone so much. He couldn't understand why he couldn't go with his Mom and siblings. He believes part of his need to always have a loved one around came partly from that. Put that with a terrible trauma in the hospital for a long time, and I can see it.

@@janicetrimmell6897 I didn't see that interview but it only makes sense.

I agree with several others' remarks here. Too much falsetto! A lot of people got tired of it. Where did the harmony and melody go? It was popular for a while and people either loved it or hated it but it was overused and caused the famous backlash that almost ended their careers. The same with "My Lover's Prayer" that you did recently. Beautiful song but the falsetto spoiled it for me and distorted the lyrics. Much preferred the stripped down version by Robin, a true ballad that I suggest is well worth a listen. I hate to offend Barry's die hard fans and love his normal voice but this is overkill. The incessant falsetto made me drop The Bee Gees for several years. Thank god I came back.
