Huge "Open Air" or rather "External" honey bee colony attached to a concrete interstate bridge railing twenty feet up. Needed a bucket lift to perform the removal. The bees were very gentle & lots of them! The entire process went rather smoothly except for several short rain delays.

You probably do not remember me but about 4 years ago I was trying to catch a swarm to start art bee keeping. Well yesterday I got my first catch. It was on the ground and I placed my box and they walked in then today another one about 100 yrds from the first. It was only about 1 1/2 feet off the ground so I got to shake it in the box. I felt like a kid at Christmas. Thank you for all your vedioes. With out them I would never have gone on this jurney

I'm never going to get tired of saying it: bees are just so beautiful! Their little amber colored bodies, their chunky bee butts, their fuzzy coats and their little legs full of pollen, like they are wearing yellow leg warmers. I mean... it doesn't get more adorable that that!

@@JPthebeeman im greatfull to you for saving bees, especialy since they are dying out slowly, and you probobly know it :( I am mad cos in current times nature has almost no place to live, so well, they try surviving whereever they can - and thats super sad. I hope that ppl will learn in time when its not too late how important nature is.

Ya think that's big I've seen bigger like on a program I saw on t.v. once called 'Lethal Swarms:Killer Bees' where these guys who deal with bothersome insects like Mosquitoes but now have to deal with Killer Bees found a wild beehive in a vacant lot and the hive they found was massive it was nearly 2 meters tall and was reported to have over half a million bees in it and after they bagged the hive and took it back to their headquarters where they froze the hive to safely study it they discovered it was originally a wild European Beehive but it showed signs that it was being taken over by African Bees.

Thank you for taking the time to make these videos of you saving bees in all the crazy places the girls decide to call home . It never fails to amaze me some of the places they decide to build hives in. Completely opposite of everything all the books and beekeepers have determined should be a good place for bees to want to live. Just curious, JP. In your experience are most of the open air colonies you have dealt with as gentle as these girls? All of the open air colonies I have had to remove have been extremely gentle, but there have only been 8-10 I have ever messed with so I was not sure if that actually meant anything.
