@@Beeblebum bro. I’ve slept like 8 hours in 2 days. I’ve been going hard. I am making a giant frigate storage/refiner ship. And I will be able to dock my mining ship to it. This game. I can’t even. I turned enemies off, and increased my carry weight (on person) to help with ship building. But stayed vanilla. Other than purchasing the industrial dlc pack. Lol

Built the ship this afternoon, seems to be alright so far, have yet to take it into space though.

New sub because of this video. Ship did for me what it was supposed to with getting to space, sometimes running from drones and checking a bunch of asteroids for something yet only finding Earth's ore deposits. Disappointed. I then tried landing on the moon for a hydrogen refueling station and couldn't get off the surface for some reason. Crashed the ship and reloaded to before I landed.

Yeah, some ores are pretty rare to find. Platinum should be found easier on the moon, uranium in the asteroids. But yeah, most ores are available on the Earth planet. Concerning not being able to take off.. were you locked with your landing gear to the moon?

@@Beeblebum : No sir. I was loaded with platinum and still had the atmospheric thrusters on the ship which added a lot of weight. I redesigned the ship without those thrusters and added another container on each of of the original with more hydrogen thrusters and now that ship is like a speed demon with insane acceleration. I also added two more drills to the front with a convertor, sorter and connector on the back to dispose of stone. I can carry 120,000kg of ore now but it handles like a school bus when loaded. I've been binging your series Making Planetfall now, enjoying the entertaining content man.

Yet another superb episode , i cant wait to test this out, but i still have a way to go before i can attempt this. In Episode 3 you mention that moving to a lake is a good idea, would youy build base on the ice or on land nearby? Sad thihs is the last tutorial but will look forward to any others that you will do in the future, Thanks again

On my playthroughs, I build on the Ice, but at the shore works fine as well.. It is just easy to drill the ice and deliver it straight to the o2/h2 generators. I have been doing quite a few streams, and started a scenario a few weeks ago on stream. I also made a guide on how to build a Self Guiding missile... but I need to remake it, Got a better design.😊

what a good video! everything is great! until you say the hydro tank on the ship fill qwick... i w8 for 1H and its only at 35%, i fill the h2/o2 with ice, i got tons of it, its just go sooooooo slowly, any idie why is that? :( edit: nvm, i just build 4 more H2 gen on my base to fill it up fast XD

at 26:48 you can see what the weight is of my ship - You might have to double check if you did not load up with too much materials. Also, make sure you enable your atmo thrusters again when entering the atmosphere, as the hydrogen thrusters won't hold your ship alone.

Wait you forgot the tutorial when you return into the atmosphere you have chewie take it out of hyperdrive at the last second so you can sneak back into you base on the planet without being caught by the imperial army

I have a question; in an earlier episode you said building a base next to a lake is ideal. Are there pump blocks? How do you access the water or turn it into ice? Thanks for the series!

All Water in Space Engineers is in Frozen form.. you all need to drill it. There are some mods that make IceLakes in water and give you pumps to get water instead. 😊

I’m on ps5 and when I set my thrusters in a group and go to toolbar config and try to set the group to toggle I don’t get any options can anyone help ( I can toggle them from control panel but it’s so inconvenient )

do you switch to a new game to go into creative mode? or how do you do it?

You can either start a creative game, or you can enable creative mode while being in a survival save. To enable Creative Mode in a regular save, you can press ALT + F10 to open the Admin screen.

I want to ask if there was a way to send pictures of pretty cool base ideas I've seen and see if you can do a video building them? I think they'd make a pretty cool base and would love to do them but I don't know how I'd implement it into the game. I know of the different glitches which if they had to be used to make them that wouldn't bother me but it's trying to find a way to do them. I do think some would be easier than others but I think they'd be do able.

Went back in creative mode and made the same ship and they worked. Musta been a bug!

my problem was that i had the hydrogen tank in "stockpile ON" so the hydrogen thrusters didnt work properly, they were on but did not recieve any fuel. Disable the stockpiling option will do.
