All looking good. A box of offcuts and bits is essential in my book. You only need to collect stuff for 20 odd years and use one small piece to justify the bits box’s existence!

The tunnel portal, embankment et al looks great. A platelayers' hut would fit in there perfectly.

Great to see your progress, I'm currently building my layout and it's so useful to watch what others are doing, thank's for taking the time to film all this! PS I'm another hoarder of little offcuts, loads of them!

Hi Andy. Love you're skills and ideas. Do like that tunnel, with the gradients. In the middle of doing a re vamp myself vlogged part 1 gone down the Embankment route as you have. Mines a bit smaller area than yours though. Brilliant vlog Andy thank you. ...Pete....

Hi Pete. Hope you’re well. Thanks mate, it’s taken some doing but nearly there. I’ve not had my weekly KZbin fix yet so I’ll look out for your latest update! 👍. Take care, Andy

Could not have picked a better consist to test. That really put the icing on the cake for me. It’s a loco on my want list and with a preorder of bachmanns new class 31 with the auto coupling next to join my fleet once bachmann add the same magic to the Deltic it’s a must own. Just this moment I’m working a similar problematic incline on the back scene where the Lower level focus is a petroleum depot. I have a very very narrow section so retaining wall means I can’t use the stone I want to use instead I think I will have to use the chooch flexible retaining wall and add some personalization then pass a canal and will also need to create a rather steep embankment but got some tremendous thumb height shrubs and bushes that will give a seamless approach. I find to get even better interest is to really nail line side details like an elevated and or platform mounted comms cabinet that shows the steepness and makes use of what can be a darn awkward tight pickle of a problem. Great stuff stay safe.

Thank you. Wow, sounds like you’re in the midst of some major building. Love the idea of highlighting the steepness of the embankments. Take care, Andy

Looking really good. And I too have several containers full of offcuts of various things. The ones I use most often are rectangles of wood from the laser cutter, usually to pack or fill an awkward gap somewhere.
@Grandadstrainroom-pn3tt10 ай бұрын
Thank you Martyn. I just know the minute I throw them away I would need some type of off cut!!

No you are not weird. I have lots of bits left over from projects, although i do now take some stuff down to my local railway club for people to use.

The new retaining wall is looking good. The field would look more interesting with an old WWII radio tower.
