Thank you so much for showing this canning video I was seeing a lot of canning videos and it’s much nicer to watch the canning video knowing you’re gonna know how to fix a dinner complete with this item that you’ve just canned thank you so much it adds to our interest and to how it’s going to come out and if we’re going to fix the item or not it’s just really all way around winner I do have a Nesco canner as well and I’m thinking about buying the new presto electric pressure canner which I think might be more simple to use or just another item to help me can more than one batch at a time thank you again it is nice to see someone using a Nesco Canner

I like to see you prep the ingredients. I don’t feel like it’s a waste of time watching, because I feel like I’m sitting there with you in your kitchen having a cup of coffee while you are chatting with me. You feel like a friend that I’m cooking with and I like it. Don’t change! Found your videos a few days ago and am getting caught up. 😊

Hello, I couldn't agree more about the adds. A few times I have had to add links because the recipes were not my own and I believe in giving credit where it is due but overall I try not to. Blessings for you 🙏

Lovely! Thank you. I’ll be tying this sometime. Doing this in my pressure cooker - no canner in Europe - so I’ve just been canning pre-cooked. ❤

Hello, I have been trying to listen to the viewers and they were saying they would like to see the end result so I will be trying harder to show that. Thank you also for the congratulations. When I first started this channel it was so my children would have a place to find all the recipes that they remember me making but it has certainly grown since the beginning. I have a whole new family encouraging me to continue and I appreciate it very much. Best wishes! Colleen

I love the way you clean up as you go- I do the same thing as a clean work area is a safe area & being the youngest of 10 Children that is how we were taught (I am 71 yrs old). I make all my own Stocks (Broths) & have a canning pantry that is quite large now.

I just made this recipe for the first time using my new electric caner. I hope it works as I didn't push the pressure cook button at the bottom of the dial settings. I did it just the way you did it and then I watched you again and then I re-read the instruction, but I didn't see anywhere to push that button. I will re-read the book again. I hope it turns out as it smells wonderful :)

Thank-you for sharing this Colleen. It's hot and humid here in SW Ontario, so this is a godsend. Sweating it out in the kitchen BUT making 4 meals instead of 1. Love my Nesco electric canner. Set and basically forget it. My pantry is filling up.

It hasn't been that hot in our part of BC but its still great to put up 4 meals at one time. I love my Nesco too! Cheers, Colleen

Colleen, I really enjoyed your stroganoff canning recipe. This is for sure a keeper with the venison we get. I love a pantry full of filled jars not using anymore electricity, no power to worry about freezers, ready to just warm up. Keep up the good work, you’re a natural. Hello from Alaska

My mother and I appreciate your work. One request: can you cover the digital portions of the canner in the future? The camera slows down the digital screen, so on our end it's just a lot of flickering.

I so new to canning that I am still watching KZbin videos. I was thrilled when I ran across your channel yesterday and learned about an electric canner. I am pretty sure I can do that and am encouraged to try some of your ideas. How long will the stroganoff last on the shelf after canning?
@oursilvermoments60282 жыл бұрын
Hello Elizabeth, I don't have a long term pantry. I can for one full year but I know that properly canned food should last at least 2 years. Many people use it long after that. Thank you for watching! I hope it gives you the courage to try it for yourself. Best wishes, Colleen

We like a creamy cheesy sauce and not the tomato sauce. I guess i could cook our recipes and then water bath the jars to seal the jars.

Hi, I believe the directions say to add 8 cups of HOT water AFTER you have added the jars. Just sayin....
@oursilvermoments60282 жыл бұрын
Hello Katrina, Thanks for your comments and for watching do closely. I bought my Nesco when the directions said 4 cups and used it that way for about a six months before they changed it to 8 cups so once in awhile I still get confused by that. The directions from the Nesco site site 2019: Place jars on canning rack in NESCO Smart Canner and add 4 cups of hot water. Close the lid and set weight to “Exhaust.” Set to LOW for the appropriate time-10 minutes for pints, 15 for quarts-and press START.Aug 20, 2019. Thanks for watching! Colleen
