I'm so upraised that no one has commented on your comment. But maybe there's a reason for that. I have seen over 2oo musicals in my life and this is my favorite. I have sen ALL of the Ninas and Krysta simply took it took another level

To me it sounds more like she's actually IN character. And as far as I remember, she did these songs kind of on a whim and on request from the audience (correct me if I'm wrong), so she hadn't exactly warmed her voice up for the jumps she had to make in the songs, something that makes a BIG difference in your performance. So it being a bit tougher than usual is normal, that being said, she completely nails it.

Yeah, I recently read an article and she was supposed to sing with Jeremy Jordan and someone else, but because of the snowstorm in NYC she had to give an impromptu concert.

Yes, this is true. She did an amazing job for having to take over a big part of the show, and then take requests from the audience.
