Hurri - typical Remoaner negative view. Britain wants a clean break independence - there is no cliff - the EU wants to continue trading with the UK and visa versa - already numerous solutions are in place - trucks will continue to move, planes will fly and the EU will be able to access London’s financial markets. The ‘cliff’ is a remoaner mindset. But don’t worry - positive leaver mindset will sort it.

Why would the EU allow the UK to manage our finances if they are not BOUND by EU Law in doing so? As for the Banks offering these financial services, do you think banks are nationalistic? Or do you think they care about profit and market access? Are you under the impression that only Brits know how accounting works? You overestimate the importance of your little island nation.

So how does the resolution happen for Brexit with no possibility of renegotiation ? I understand Mr De Rynck's position, however it doesn't resolve the outstanding issues. Let's deal with facts folks, if there is a no deal, then how are the EU going to enforce anything at all to do with either British or Irish sovereign territory ? Answer, they cannot. So who is talking pie in the sky , Britain, or the EU ?

The people you suggest, are known spinners and skilled in distorting the truth. This video is not about that it is about explaining the standpoint of the EU nothing to do with politics as such. If you come away with the impression that the EU is the good guy you are probably right. Looking back to the start in 2016 the EU has been very consistent about it’s values and behaved in predictable way. Britain on the other hand has been anything but predictable just looking for ways to divide and conquer and failing miserably.

@@dutchuncle3310 I am always amused by what each of us sees, whether it is two people looking at a painting or two people describing something each of them have seen or in this case the EU defending it's position on Brexit. As to the UK and your statement of its intention to divide and conquer, well sorry but all I see from my side of the Fence is Mrs May floundering out of her depth trying to negotiate against Trained EU Professionals, who have made her seem stupid and inept in the eyes of her Nation, to achieve what!?! a Deal, a Deal made in Hell one that locks us in to become Europe's poor Cousin with all the obligations and non of the benifits. As to Divide, she could not split a Cake into portions, all she managed to do was get her knickers taken off and have them take it in turns to slap her ass! and send her red faced back to the UK. But as the The Merovingian once said, Mark my Words and Mark them well, this will all end in Tears at Bedtime for all concerned. Mr Spence Eng ApartmentsWales.com

@@geoffallibone2270 Don't make me laugh. Without the USA to provide the armed forces, NATO isn't much use to anyone. Much better to go self-reliant when it comes to armed forces. Something in line with EU foreign legion, except here EU citizens have the option to serve either their national or EU military. Fifty years from now the EU may not need military forces on a national level at all. Doesn't mean it would be banned, just not deemed required by the citizenry. What we do know for sure is that the UK is unreliable as an ally. We have centuries of history to show england is the worst of allies. And more recent history has proven the UK to be more of a danger to our own forces than our supposed enemies ever were

@@geoffallibone2270 Well read thanks. I would have voted to join the EEC in 72 if I had been old enough. No resentment nor regrets there. But having watched in dismay at the social and political disaster the EU have wrought in the last 25 years I realise that we as Europeans have been had over. Brussels has the same imperfections as any other centralized government, difference being we cannot change Laws or policies democratically, and each country is at the mercy of minority groups within the EU, for the EU has total power without a mandate. We also have to suffer the tax burden of what amounts to a dubious political experiment. A visit to the EU museum in Brussels is a bit of an eye opener to one who has been educated in the 'free' world. 'Corruption' is putting it mildly. Worse still is the contempt that is held for the poorest European Nations in the name of freedom. The Freedoms the EU offer are just beads for the Natives, Whilst essential and hard won freedoms are relentlessly eroded.

"The EU said. No, no, no. The money question is about settling the accounts from the past." After WWII Germany started to pay reparations. But they were starving, so we let them off. American presidents have repeatedly warned that EU countries are not putting into NATO the amount of troops and material that they had committed to. The UK did keep their promises. So very definitely it is a question of "settling the accounts from the past", and the EU has made no attempt at all to do this. The EU has debts to the UK.
