Goal at 4:15 .. Leaned shoulder away it looked like which opened the short side.. I have this habit also 🙊

Yeah for sure but I couldn't even see the shot. I think at that moment I was trying to look around the screen.

6:30 I feel like standing up would be a good option but also since he was almost to the goal line if you were in an RVH you could've had a better chance to just push off the post and slide towards the shot, or even break up the pass with your stick.

On that first goal, an active glove can also help in that save. Bring your gloves (towards the shooters stick)out and cutting down the angle that the shot can go really helps on in tight those cross-crease rushes.

That is very true. It is something I am trying to work on for sure.

First goal , you should have been more aggressive on the puck by staying butterfly and advance your glove in direction of the puck so you cover more space, good game after all

Yeah for sure. That is one thing I am actively trying to work on. Attacking the puck with my glove.

shootouts must be pretty nerve racking for a goalie lol, probably pretty fun tho too I'm guessing?!

I love them! I am less nervous because I know I am in complete control. I don't have to worry about rebounds or open guys in front of the net. I just need to stay square, cut off the angle, and read the players blade.

@ThePuckStopsHere5 жыл бұрын
jason duppel jr 101010 I understand what you are saying, but there is always something we can do as goalies to put ourselves in better positions to stop the puck. But I do know that it is impossible to stop everything all the time.

@@ThePuckStopsHere dude, my thoughts exactly. Always something different could have been done. Even when I make save I think about how my positioning was and if there was something different or better I should have done.
