It's called the Gaṇapati Atharvaśīrṣa Upaniṣad. As the name suggests, it is a Sanskrit text that forms part of the Upaniṣadic corpus of writings. Specifically, it is one of the 108 Upaniṣads mentioned in a list that is customarily referred to as the Muktikā canon, since it is found in a text known as the Muktikā Upaniṣad. What exactly would you like to know about the Gaṇapati Atharvaśīrṣa? I'm from Mauritius too, by the way.

Hey Ranveer, based on limited knowledge of Mahabharata I have, I learned that Arjuna was granted the Pashupatastra from Lord Shiva after tapasya. It wasn't Brahmastra. On a side note, Arjuna had to prove being worthy of it by dueling with Mahadeva himself before receiving it. And at the end Ashwattama fired off the Brahmashir astra which is equivalent to 4X potency of Brahmastra. Krishna advised Arjuna to fire Brahmashir as well as a counter. Ved vyas realized that collision of two Brahmashir would be catastrophic to the environment and stopped the collision by his yoga shakti. Arjuna could revoke it because he had mastered it. Ashwathama couldn't revoke it and was ordered by Vyas ji to change its direction. He directed it to Abhimanyu's wife womb to destroy the baby and the only progeny of Pandavas. I believe these weapons like Brahmashir can be scaled up and down to destroy targets. They can be used in much more targeted way than nuclear weapons. Krishna had to step in and protect Parikshit. I believe Ashwathama was already a chiranjeevi. But Krishna took off his mani on forehead that Ashwathama was born with and cursed him with leprosy. But I believe the duration of that curse was bounded to ~ 2000 years before. Anyway, if you get more information on it please correct me or better yet astras could be another topic of discussion. 1

Great episode.. for these reasons the Mughals had destroyed Nalanda University as it had all such documents stored there which would have provided a platform for us Indians and Hindus today to excel in life. It was out of jealousy that it got destroyed. Had been it present and available today then India would have been the greatest superpower ever. Nonetheless, such education has to be shared and also accepted by our people so that we can understand the power of early Vedas and use it in our lives today to have an excellent health and wellbeing. Still I feel proud to know all such things as even though the invaders of this holy land tried to destroy us Hindus completely and have implemented other religions still we are continuing wit this knowledge and this experience will definitely help us to become great again both individually and as a community together. What would make for a really knowledge filled podcast would be to split each Veda into it's on podcast/discussion, thereby getting a deeper understanding of each. So one discussion could be on Rigveda, another on Sama then Yajur, etc, just an idea. Each one could be a 30-45 min discussion on everything related to that Veda, or if necessary break it up into parts.

WHY A WHOLE VED IS ABOUT MUSIC: The way I see it, it is not actually about music.... music is about rhythm....(This is why there is some meaning lost when translating from original language to English) biologically we have countless rhythms that sustain us... if you think about the wave and particle theory, wave themselves are beams of so and so frequency, a certain frequency can be equated to a particular rhythm.... The whole universe is based on rhytms (vibrations) and rhythms carry energy.... So, superficially it seems like the ved is just written about music... it is actually about rhythm. I have not read it.. but I'm guessing it goes deeper into the knowledge about vibrations, rhythms, frequency.... and maybe that is why mantras have energy associated to them..... Another aspect I always want to highlight is, the whole universe and working of it is about chaos and order. To understand chaos (random happenings in universe) you first need to understand order (underlying principles). And there is an element of randomness which plunges universe into chaos..... also from thermodynamics 2nd law of newton (correct me if I'm wrong) the system always goes from state of less randomness to more randomness (which is mathematically modelled as Entropy..... so more entropy means more randomness.... thus, naturally processes always are in direction of positive delta entropy.). >>> Now knowledge actually is information but arranged in a certain manner, for e.g. an excel sheet of multiple numbers doesn't really make any sense, but if you identify patterns and arrange(/order) it in a certain manner you may find insights in that random seemingly chaotic information. For that you need a key. What if the knowledge detailed in the SAMVED (tunes and rhythms) is actually the keys to unlocking the meaning and knowledge behind all of the seemingly random data/knowledge that we observe as our universe??? tl;dr I don't think it is fair to say music is JUST music(sense of rhythm transcends language barriers, don't underestimate it)... it is order incarnate... which has to be mastered to understand chaos around us.

Hey Ranveer! Loved this episode. It was awesome as always. I would like to give you a suggestion for your next podcast. You should consider calling a person who can talk about aswathama. It’s believed that he’s still alive and is roaming in the jungles of India. Also, there are testimonies of people who have met him. There’s a second suggestion too,it’s about narmada parikrama, you can call experts who have actually completed this parikrama and have had amazing miracles happening with them. Most of the people have met Ashwathama during Narmada parikrama only. It will be an amazing podcast, trust me! Cheers!

I have been watching your videos lately and the more I watch the more i feel you need to be a good listener. You need to stop disturbing the flow of the genius guests you will get all your answers only if you speak less and listen more 🕉️ give it a thought. Your podcasts have good guests respect their presence and let them speak
