It was fun meeting you on trail when my buddy gave you a ride into Kent and seeing you "at work" in the library. A tiny behind-the-scenes peak at how you create the videos to share your amazing story. Backpacking a little of the same trail and seeing some of it now makes me 🙂 I agree with everyone else - love the perspectives you share. I felt bad leaving Kent to get to our next destination with you and your buddy in the library but most happy to see you ended up out of the rain that night. Happy Trails!

oh my goodness you are inspiring. Hiking in the dark, going to NYC... I think my favorite segment of your video was the cave. WHERE IS THAT?! I want to find it. No matter what the weather. I know it is in Connecticut so I will just have to keep watching and hope it comes up in thru hiker video. I am also feeling you for the darned mosquitoes. THEY ARE BRUTAL! I have a swollen up spot on my arm right now. I look at it and say "Is that mosquito or biting gnats!?" We don't have biting gnats in California but they're here in NJ! Anyway - keep moving forward. Love what you share. You're doing just right, no matter your mood and I appreciate you with my whole heart!

What an adventure. My city, but I actually don't remember the last time I went into Manhattan (I live in Far Rockaway, in Queens, about the farthest subway ride you can take from the city). You either love it or hate it, usually. It can be an intense sensory overload experience. I took a training class a few years back in the M&M store building - I remember looking out a window down at a huge 3D M&M character mockup on the roof. Anyway, gives you real perspective to experience the city vs the AT. You looked like you were enjoying your time there.

Hey Maddie! Enjoyed your latest video. Looks like you're enjoying all the little perks off-trail...NYC and your coffee-flavored milkshake. Personally, I enjoy all the natural scenery, minus the bugs of course! You're making good progress. Now that you're in New England you're on the last leg of your journey. Hope the cooler weather helps some. I heard that there was some flooding earlier in the summer in some of the northern states. I hope that doesn't deter you too much. Well, keep at it, you're doing great! Remember the hikers mantra when things get rough: "Embrace the Suck"! Well, stay safe and ENJOY! PS- We appreciate all the work you do to make these videos. I think it makes sense being a little motion sickness, you haven’t traveled at those speeds for months now, even via car you don’t go as fast as those trains. Gotta take the time to hit the playground up 😂. Keep hiking on Maddie! Ps that family of ducks were quackers for crossing that river 😂

I have an Iniu power bank! Luckily, since the AT goes near towns so much, I usually don’t even run on power!
