The bright, fresh and VIVACE young Beethoven played and conducted by the bright, fresh and VIVACE young Frank Dupree. A superb combination that I'm sure would have thrilled the composer. The orchestra are very special indeed.

What an incredibly talented musician Frank Dupree is! I started listening to him performing Kapustin, than I was blown away by his trio performances- all jazz, his computer aided solos ( Ravel’s Bolero on 10 pianos- that was a hoot!)and, suddenly, I see him performing difficult Beethoven’s 5th, conducting at the same time! What’s next? He has boundless ingenuity. The performance like this requires not only great pianistic skills, but a special ability to make the orchestra follow you, which Stuttgart Philharmonic did impeccably. There was a undeniable connection between Frank and them. Bravi!
