35:40 Why are you surprised he kept his word? He's not the one who made a deal in the first movie and then tried to go back on his condition. No, Lydia was the one who did that. Once he'd done his work and the Maitlands were fine, she tried to back out of marrying him. And what happens this time? He keeps his word, exposes her fiance and still gets punished.
@BatmanFan76Ай бұрын
This legacy sequel actually tried its best to be better than the first. Like, they don’t repeat everything from the first movie, they have new original material, they still have that classic dark humor, and it’s always a treat for Michael Keaton return as the ghost with the most. But then again after The Flash, this is basically his second movie where he had to return as one of his iconic characters. 😅

One small thing. When Delia and Chadles meet in the end, it at first seems to just be her self centered nature to focus on her small bite wounds as opposed to his missing body, but really it shows her care for him that she is still her normal self. He is missing a goo chunk of himself, is kinda disgusting to look at, but she is just so happy to have her "horny handyman" back
@nicolasbaron4506Ай бұрын
I'm pleased to say that I found the sequel to mostly live up to its predecessor's legacy while also providing the most engaging film from Tim Burton in many years. I will admit and say that it's a bit convoluted with too many storylines, but I had such a blast revisiting these characters and this world to where I can't complain much.

I feel like there should've been a three-way supernatural battle between Betelgeuse, Wolf Jackson and Dolores in that church. A proper, full-fledged battle with each of them using abilities in line with their personalities. Betelgeuse's randomness, Wolf Jackson's Hollywood action stunts and Dolores' soul powers (maybe not just sucking them but maybe also some form of control over them).

Lydia was using when she was writing her suicide letter in the first movie 14:05 - I had weird feelings about that guy too 16:06 - this part made me laugh 20:05 - I agree and he’s going to regret it 21:58 - unfortunately he never wants to let Lydia go🙄 22:46 - I love that too how much they’ve grown to like each other very well unlike the time when she was young 23:57 & 25:13 - when I first saw that book in his room I had a feeling that either he was dead or that his parents were dead but it turned out. It was all of them but the boy was more dangerous 26:39 - unfortunately, he was the only one who could help her and to me I thought well she had no choice 28:22 - Bob is a very interesting character 29:12 - in someways I was kind of worried she was gonna die 😢😢 and she was a fun character 29:56 - I did not like that guy what he did to her 30:10 - yep that’s her dad 31:18 - I thought it was pretty cool how they did the dance with the soul train but at the same time I was like scared for Astrid 31:42 - when I knew where they were at I was like this is the worst place they would obviously end up GET OUT OF THERE! 32:16 - even in death he saved his family. I felt good vibes about this as well that Astrid got to see her father again and and Lydia got to see your husband. ❤❤ 35:19 - gotta love when Beetlejuice steps in 👏🏻even though Lydia agreed to marry him🫣🫢 37:10 - they get stuck to their phones, literally 37:56 - this part in the movie filled me with so much laugh, even with the audience in my mind, I thought another song they’ll get possessed with 😳🤣😂🤣😂 39:56 - William Defoe in this movie it’s funny with the fact how he was once an actor and now he is a cop in nother world and you’re right he is an actor 41:13 - same feeling I was feeling when that sandworm got them both 👍🏻 41:37 - when I saw this scene I was like Yep, she can finally say it to send him back

The film is a valentine to its original and even more so wisely using practical f/x and Easter eggs from the past and everyone having a blast. The "MacArthurPark" wedding sequence is *chef's kiss* and the Mario Brava backstory for Beetlejuice is everything. Looking forward to Burton's remake of ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN and while casting has not taken place yet who else besides me would love to see Clarissa in the titular role - a perfectly sexy giantess? :D xxoo

I didn't love the movie, not did I hate it. It had WAY to many storylines going on. And some of them we barley got any time with, like BJs ex wife. Or the husband of Delia was bit by the shark. Or Delia being it so much or dying. Or the easily predicted boy that was dead. If you removed some of these, the movie would have flowed better. However it may not have saved it fully. They used alot of the same things from the first movie. Also a bit to much musical stuff, the wedding song went on for so long. And some of the effects seem more kinda awkward rather then interesting. Again, not an awful movie. Just a mixed bag for me. That said Winona, Keaton and Ortega were great. To add, supposedly they story has been floating around for decades and had many changes. They didn't want to make a second one until it felt like the right script. This leads me to think that maybe because Keaton was getting so old, they sort of gave up were like "Eh, we will take whatever the script is currently and do our best".

I’m gonna be the odd person out to say that I didn’t like the sequel 😅 the pacing was too off and it didn’t feel like it had an easy to follow story. More like…a load of subplots that all ended up in the same place. And maybe relied a bit too much on nostalgia points (with the unnecessary musical number overload). Monica Belucci’s character had barely any dialogue outside of “where’s Beetlejuice”, where the trailer made it look like she had a bigger part. The only thing I’ll give her is her pieces of wardrobe. I liked those…that’s it really. I recognize that there are people who liked it and I’m not gonna judge that; people can like what they like. But I will personally say that this for sure is not better than the first. The first movie had an easier plot to follow and nothing felt disconnected. And it wasn’t trying too hard to be funny, it just naturally was.

The first film was better why do makers of these types of films not put any effort into making them better than than the first. At least other film makers put the hard work in to make the sequel twice as successful as the first, instead of being lazy and riding off the success of the first. Very disappointed with this film it just looks like they had a board meeting and said, "Now anyone have any ideas for beatlejuice two, anyone." All of your ideas are good lets just through all of them regardless of whether they are good or bad or make any sense at all
