Love that you are learning to spin! I didn’t get on too well with a Nano but now learning on a wheel which I’m loving! Will love to see your progress!

Don't know if you are still in Bethlehem but my favorite yarn store is located there - The Knitter's Edge. I like it so much that we drive from New Jersey to buy yarn there.

Love Kent’s blanket. I wish more people put notes in their ravelry projects. Especially when using different yarn weights, needle sizes. I probably put too much tho. Your Salty Days is so beautiful. I have the 16th on my calendar God willing. Maybe I can give Toaster my very own ear scratches. Be safe. Enjoy winding down.

On the Salty Days Sweater, I stuck with the recommended size 2.5 needle for the bottom hem, and it turned out completely perfect. I can’t even tell that it was so much smaller after I blocked.

You got a Nano, I have both it and the 6.1 I found the Nano finicky and never use it. The 6.1 is a much better spinner. Have fun.

Hope you enjoy your spinning! There’s just something about the softness of the fiber (and in my case, I don’t use an electric wheel, so the rhythmic treadling) that is so peaceful, and when you have finished plying, you magically have a skein of yarn!!

Ohhhh the "Kielgeholt Wool Festival" is just straight up cruel to pronounce for non-German speakers. That one gave me a good chuckle, thank you! And thank you to the person that submitted the German events ❤

Hi Natalie. Your advent baby crochet blanket is gorgeous. You did a great job with the border. The Salty days sweater isn't taking you long to knit up and is looking great. Up to you with what needle size you decide to use for the ribbing. I would try and see if you can do a few rows and see if you like it. Thankyou for the tip on moving the start of round maker one to the right. I might decide to knit this pattern first instead of the Artic Sweater from the same designer. Enjoy staying with Brianna and Michael. I follow Brianna on her channel. take care

I am so excited about your sock pattern. I think it will be just what I’ve been looking for. I loved your blankets. Thanks so much for sharing and giving advice. It really is helpful.
@libbybowles21 күн бұрын
Veronika's patterns often make that giant jump for the ribbing and I have never understood it. I mean, they don't look all cinched up on her, do they? So I'm with you...I only go down a needle size or maybe two. Trust your instincts. It's looking amazing!
@handmadeschwan21 күн бұрын
I think it strongy has to do with her personal gauge. For me its kind of the same, whenever I do ribbing, i go down to my 2.5 mm needle. No matter what yarn Im using and no matter the needle size I used for the rest of the project. Or else the ribbing is never clean enough for my liking. Its never sinched in too much, either.

The last pair of socks I made for myself I also experimented with a slip stitch pattern but I did that for several rounds around the entire foot. It is nice and snug and is the best fit. I’m curious to hear how your experiment turns out just donn in my it on the bottom. ❤

Wow, going down 6 or 7 needle sizes for ribbing would be SO much! I know people who go down 2 or 3 needle sizes, but that’s twice as much! Hopefully you won’t need to do so. The blanket looks gorgeous, nice work.
@ebbaclaesson20 күн бұрын
Metric needle sizes often aren’t as many as US ones, so going from 5mm to 3mm is not a big step 🙏🏼
@cynthiawick21619 күн бұрын
@ still, going down by 2mm is at least 4 sizes, which seems a lot
@ebbaclaesson19 күн бұрын
@@cynthiawick216 I can understand that it seems like it but the result looks really nice. 😊
@annettewiggins222021 күн бұрын
Wouldn't going down that many needle sizes make the sweater puff out over the hem (or the dreaded bubble effect)? I usually prefer a straighter silhouette on my sweaters, so at the most I'll go down 2 needle sizes. Looking forward to Sockmas!
