As a Russian native I’d like to clarify. We have two words that mean good.. -хорошо as in ok, well, pleasant -добро as in kindness, benevolence, ultimate good As a reply Хорошо “to mean alright, fine, ok” Добро “we made a deal?/!” (at least in southern Russia where I’m from) As observation Хорошо “well done, nice work, very pleasing Добро “I’ve just seen the work of a philanthropist” As describing a person Хороший/шая “pleasant character/well meaning/nice” Добрый/рая“kind, harmless, gentle” Also Хорош/ша “he/she is very fine” Добр/ра “he/she has been/is benevolent to me/them/everyone” Also “добро” can’t be used to describe inanimate objects, places, feelings but you can give it to others, but likewise you can’t give хорошо, but you can make it... idk if you get it Хороший (object/place) trusty/dependable/beautiful/comfortable etc.. just as in English Also allow me to disagree with the video author, you can use it to describe food an drinks Хороший (food) when you start eating it and it hits your hunger just right... if I missed anything add it in the comments

Okay i appreciate this because I just did an ancestry DNA kit and I didn't know I was 40% Russian. Afro Russian to be more specific. I finally came into the realization that my name is not a common name in the states. It means a lot to learn the language etc... I was adopted into a black family and I learned to embrace my ethnicity on that side but, I want to embrace my European side too. I am proud to be an afro German Russian American!!! 🇷🇺🇩🇪🇺🇸🖤❤💛
