November 2019 - January 2021. I was 34-yrs-old when I got my braces. I was as apprehensive about the "stigma" that came with being an adult and having to wear them. But when searching KZbin in the weeks before having them put on, I can say that watching today, the message and the positivity from your video resonates just as strong as it did over two years ago. Just like you, I am so happy I took the plunge and 100% agree it was worth it. I am two days removed from having them taken off and encourage anyone who has the opportunity to do this to please do so. It's a life changer.

bro my two front teeth were literally like a sharks mouth a large magic marker could fit between the gaps and lets nt mention my bottom teeth was from attack of the monster from another planet, i actually did metal braces to move the major bones around, years passed bye and let me tell u, without a retainer they shifted a lot, then i did smile direct four months later PERFECT teeth, about 62 days later of crest professional strips and my cell phone gets blown up by women wanting to do a drink..LOL, IMO 20 days is good, your teeth will be white , but if you want the entire mouth to be white it will take over 60 days with follow up of smile direct brush ons daily and led blue light. ITS WORTH IT!

A few orthodontists told me to remove 4 teeth as well. They are just lazy and use old methods. It's all about easy money for most of them. I'm very fortunate to find the orthodontist I did.. he listened to my concerns and I told him what I wanted. He said I'd have a slight overbite but I was fine with it. It is better to keep your teeth. I'm an anti extractions advocate. I say no to the industry! No more ruining people's faces by removing teeth! Im sorry you had to go through the extractions... There is some hope though, I've seen others that went to a functional orthodontist who expanded the extracted spaces and got implants which helps a lot with facial structure and moves the teeth forward which can help with airway restriction & TMJ disorders. I was so sad because i think i have no choice but to have it extract ao i continue to find a clinic and gladly i found a ortho that would understand about my concern so yep she did not extract a single tooth. If teeth are shifting badly it means you need to get myofunctional therapy to establish proper tongue and swallowing habits. Tongue thrust and reverse swallowing habits push the teeth forward and draw in the side teeth.

Thanks so much! Just keep up with flossing and brushing. I'm pretty sure it speeds up treatment and you get a better result with healthy gums & teeth. I always tried to keep my tongue on the roof of my mouth and lips sealed too.

That was so satisfying to watch! I loved my braces! I'll be getting invisilign for 6 months because there has been some slight movement (the dentist took off the metal wire behind the top front teeth) and I honestly can't wait!

My teeth were SO bad before I got my braces and they are so much better and straighter now. I can't wait to take them off, I've had them for about 3 years. I used to hate smiling because my teeth were so bad, but I feel a lot more confident smiling now. Your transformation was really amazing!

Those who have had extractions you can counteract this by make sure you do mewing,which is a learned technique of keeping your tongue resting on your palate with teeth on top of each other and lips closed for most of the day- tongue posture is vital for upholding you facial plates and bones and keeping your face broad and spacious rather than caved in and flat- there is videos on KZbin for this- ive had extractions but i look no different from my friends who have not had them due to my constant mewing-
