Only One Way And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. -1 John 2:17 A pastor who was speaking at a funeral service was trying to explain what happens after we die. Then he suddenly thought of an illustration. Motioning toward the casket, he said, “Here in this casket lies just a shell. The nut is gone.” It didn’t go the way he expected it to. When we die, our bodies will go into the ground, but our souls will enter the afterlife. Those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ will immediately go into the presence of God. Years ago, one girl looked at his dad with a sad expression and said, “Papa, why do we have to die? Why can’t we just float up to Heaven?” That’s a great question. The answer is that in the Garden of Eden, it never was God’s intention for people to die. There was no death, no pain, and no tears. But because our first parents, Adam and Eve, sinned, sin then entered the human race. They rebelled against God because they had a will of their own, and that rebellion is called sin. And because of that sin, we now have death. If Adam and Eve had not sinned, we never would die, get sick, or even age. But they did sin. And sin, like a disease, entered the human race. We were all born with it. We are not sinners because we sin; we sin because we are sinners. It comes naturally to us. The Bible says, “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard” (Romans 3:23) If we want to go to Heaven, then we must be forgiven of our sins. We can’t come up with our own idea of how to get to Heaven. In fact, we wouldn’t know anything about Heaven if we didn’t read about it in the Bible. There is only one way to get to Heaven, and that is through God’s Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for us. For Christians, death is not the end. The Bible says, “And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever” (1 John 2:17) Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die” John 11:25-26 Awhile back a woman and a man were walking on the beach, and the wife said, “Be careful, there are bees on the beach.” Just then, the guy stepped on one. The stinger went into his foot, which swelled a little. Jesus took the sting of death when He died on the cross. That is why Bible tells us, “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:54-55) Death died when Christ rose. And as Christians, we will live forever. That is the hope the Bible gives us.

in my late teens I started doing pushups on chairs in my mothers kitchen. I learned that I could move the chairs to work different parts of my chest and shoulders. Did this for years. I would put my feet higher than my chest. Best exercise ever! I got to where I could do over 200 pushups..... I am 66 and I cant do one now....moral of the story, dont stop doing them.

@@JakeJacob-eo8ndjust keep doing them. Last year i could barely do 1 proper pushup. now i can bust 30 clean reps without struggling much. Thats still nothing much as my goal is to do 60 in a minute, but its still progress. Whenever ur bored at home, do them. It will help. Look up on youtube “greasing the groove method for pushups”.

You’re a great father and role model as others have already said and definitely in awesome shape but do do the pushups right. I’m noticing your not letting the shoulder blades move during the pushup. I used to do this a lot during the pushup and treat it like a bench press. But we only do this retraction and locking of the shoulder blades to stabilize the weight we are pressing creating a solid foundation to bench from. With pushups, we are using the chest to push the body away from the ground. So the locking isn’t necessary. It is necessary to do it briefly at the bottom briefly to bring our shoulders into an appropriate position so the chest can be at the forefront of the movement and stabilize ourselves as we lower down. But coming back up, you’ll get more chest stimulation and more out of 100 pushups when you unlock the shoulder blades and protract the shoulders as you push up. Cue im thinking of is to not only push the earth away from you, but push as hard as you could imagining the earth is trying to fall onto you and your trying to prevent that. That pronation of the shoulders as you finish pushing up generates even more force and force and muscle innervation goes even more inward which aligns with these chest fibers to allow for that greater stimulation The pump will come within 10-15 pushups doing it this way. Ik ur working for speed too, and idk if thats just the endpoint of your range of motion but getting your sternum nearly touching the ground is also optimal! It looks like ur stopping short
