It's simple... God is neither male nor female. Man was created like God .. meaning the first created human was like God with both quality of male and female. Later God puts man in a garden in the east of Eden (earth)Eden is not a garden but a place where a garden was created. So he puts man in the garden and created animals and birds in front of Adam to show that God is the creator. Later God took one side of Adam ( not ribs..it's a wrong translation) and made Eve . This video is full of contradictions. First we’re told that Lilith leaves Eden, then he says she had to be banned from Eden. Also how is Eve the symbol of compliance when she is the one who first didn’t comply? ..Then convinced Adam to eat the fruit? “Lilith-the one who breaks free”… wait, didn’t he say that by eating the fruit set Adam & Eve free earlier? Earlier in the video the narrator tells us the Bible portrays creation was peaceful, but we learn in the Bible about a Great War where Satan & 1/3 of the angels were cast out. In Genesis we know about the sons of God doing horrible things to creation. Oh there’s more, but I’ll leave it there. If you watch the video for what is is, without looking at other texts, this video contradicts itself so much, you can’t take this seriously.

It all makes sense as it is laid out in the Bible if you would quit putting mankind as equal with God. "In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God and was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." The Word is Jesus Christ and he is the creator, never created. He has always existed. Our minds can not comprehend that thanks to Adam and Eve eating from the tree. They saw and talked with God audibly before that. They gained human knowledge but lost their connection to God. Right, but as Jews know, the Hebrew Bible actually reads "In the beginning, WHEN God created the heavens and the earth..." ie. We know that God created the world -- here is how it happened. A small change in what was usually translated into English? I found this video interesting... a bit more context to the story, and some alternate interpretations to think about. There are other indigenous creation stories, quite interesting with lessons they can teach us, even though we come back to the Bible.

Well I would like to chime in with my thoughts about this video as well as in regards to many of the differences of opinions that I've had the pleasure to read (and before I start with my reply.. I must admit that I did not read them all since there were a minimum of 150 comments.. so here goes : while I was raised by a mom and her aunt to be a Christian .. more specifically a Methodist who has over the years probably do to my education (I have a B.S. in Chemical Engineering) and so I have usually learned to always ask better questions... why because they get better answers although sometimes I think that we as human beings.. myself included do not want to hear those uncomfortable replies which test our faith and or our beliefs.. about what is right and what is wrong in our world.. That being said I believe that there could have been other lessor gods who were not perfect and that the one creator GOD (who I approach every day to give me guidance) is not the one who had done the complete handy work but some of those lessor gods that are kind of referenced in GENESIS where GOD does say let us ( plural not let me that there was more than one GOD to do this work) were not yet perfect as God was and He had to clean up the mess that his imperfect other gods had done .. Now do I blame THE ONE GOD for his mistakes? yes and no.. why are they both yes and no you may say? Well YES I kind of "blame" HIM for creating or allowing this mess to go on for so long.. but NO when I think that since he is the ALPHA and the OMEGA who knew that this mess would happening and that he was fully aware that this let doubt seep in to the hearts of men (and women) . and that he is still in control because he knows what the outcome will be and weather we as creations will take the high road or the low road and either wipe out humanity with WW III ....or will we be able to shift our focus and become more aware that we are all interconnected and grow in to the next iteration of humanity.. and while he knows already what we will choose to do here. ... it will be the end of the humanity or the next stage in our accession? He knows this already while we have to decide what to focus on daily and what to believe etc.. plus we have no really accurate plan or playbook to decide which parts to believe and which parts not to believe.. However , in my view point it always come down to the single issue that GOD is LOVE not hate and so I have decided to follow those ideas in the BIBLE that GOD or his Son Jesus focuses on LOVE .. and the rest I just choose to ignore at my own peril!

I do not know what version of the bible is being read here but if you have a look at the King James version there is no contradiction of the two accounts. The first is a sort of overarching generic account of creation and then the second gives a bit more of the fine detail. It is true that in the second Adam is created rather earlier than Eve. This makes sense really because God wanted Adam to name all the plants and animals and Eve, if she were present then, would have been a distraction and also would have interferred in the naming process. With about 1.5 million animals to name it is not going to be helpful with a naked woman messing about with the bunnies and kittens and getting in the way. One animal named per second would take Adam the best part of a fortnight by the way. So with the plants to do as well Eve was probably made from Adam's rib after about a month after breath was first given to Adam.

As a child, the first time I questioned the ‘truth’ of the Bible was Genesis. God said, let there be light, divide the night and day and so forth. Who exactly was he talking to? There was no one around, he could have just done it without the dramatic announcements. So, God created Adam and Eve and they had 2 sons, Cain and Abel. Ok, so who did they marry to have their kids? Where did all these extra people turn up from. And later, in the time of Noah’s flood, if Noah and his family were the only ones saved from the flood, does that mean today’s populations are all the result of inbreeding. I love the story about Pope Ireneus when he was asked how come all religions had myths about virgin birth, God/man, raising from the dead, etc. He thought long and hard, prayed and released a Papal Bull stating the other religions were guilty of ‘ preemptive plagiarism’. For me, the most liberating thing I did as a teenager was coming to the conclusion that religion of any brand was not for me.
